Great little pub, feels like you've gone back in time to the days before the big chains. Menu was great, lots of choice and a specials board too. Lovely home cooked food at a reasonable price. Amazing homemade puddings with custard, hard to choose which to have. Will definitely go again.
Cannot fault our experience today. Good food, superb choice of beers on tap. Hospitality exceptional, there was nothing the lady taking the orders, serving the drinks and dispensing the food to the table wouldn't undertake in a very welcoming and accommodating manner. She even found time to bring so
This is a fantastic pub in Somerby. The staff and the Landlord and his wife are really nice. They have been there 27 years. The food is really nice and it is a very old pub with beams. The location is fabulous as well.
Been here before and sat at the same table with muddy boots after walking from Borough Hill. Publican was really friendly and actually came out to offer my dog a treat which was lovely. Very friendly service and our party were all delighted with the drink they chose. They always have interesting gue
Cosy pub with a calm atmosphere in a beautiful location. The food was extremely well made and presented, not to mention very tasty. Friendly staff who didn't hesitate to tell me about the family-run business and the history of the building.
Fantastic welcome and meal after a lovely walk. Love the fact that it's a real old fashioned family pub in a beautiful little village. Thanks, we shall be back!!
Unsurprisingly the best pub in the area. Atmospheric building, friendly and helpful staff and super selection of beers. Food looks good too.
Excellent, as always. A proper village pub. Well kept beer and lovely food
What a lovely to be, such a friendly atmosphere 😊 This pub is situated in a picturesque village. Well recommended.
Lovely traditional English country village pub, friendly and welcoming. We had the Sunday roast dinner for our evening meal. The beef was lovely. Cheese and biscuits and a glass of port to follow. What more could you ask for... oh, the Oakham cosmic jellyfish. Bliss!
