A truly fabulous dinner and overnight stay at the Talbot Inn. The staff were all very polite and friendly, making us feel very welcome. There is a great selection of drinks, including their own Talbot Ale and some delicious cocktails. We enjoyed our dinner, and the pecan pie dessert stole the show!
We ate here having not visited for many years. This is a beautiful British coaching Inn and I can imagine the views from the rooms must be stunning. It's a picture postcard village and the pub is charming and offers upmarket food and wonderful friendly staff. Worth seeking out.
Did the east Mendip way walk from Frome. Was a lovely walk which ended in this special place. We were warmly welcomed. When the rain started and we couldn't get a taxi back a very kind staff member drove us in her own van back to Frome. It was incredibly generous. Thank you!
Came for a Sunday roast with friends whilst visiting the area. Booked a table quite late but they found a table for us three. The local lager was great and the roast was delicious. The waitresses were patient and attentive.
The place is quite large with many rooms. We were sat in the Living Room are
Visited the Talbot Inn for lunch during a Saturday.
The setting and atmosphere is great, the drive there is stunning (from Bristol) and the staff were extremely kind.

We went there for a meal, so I have nothing to say about the accommodation.
The meal was everything it ought to be: great food, fabulous atmospheric surroundings and excellent service. Highly recommended.
We went for lunch with friends and had a very good three courses! We all had very well presented plates of food and good portions too! The only issue we had was an 'overcooked' burger but it was resolved to our satisfaction.
My husband and I were on holiday in Somerset and had a delicious meal in this beautiful and historic pub. The service was outstanding from all the staff members. Luke, our waiter was a great conversationalist for his young age and was incredibly attentive and accommodating. The polenta and mushroom
Amazing place with fantastic service. The team are incredibly friendly and really go above and beyond. One of the team called Hugo ran home to lend me his toothpaste. I think that says it all. 5 stars for service I not enough.
We had the most wonderful Sunday Roast ever! Nathan & his team were so welcoming & made our visit so great. Our waiters, Luke. & Romilly were brilliant. We’ll be back! 🙏😎
This place is brilliant. Faultless stay, shout out to Ash, a member of staff who nothing was too much trouble for. Service was impeccable. This was customer service at it's best.
Lovely pub, good garden out the back, very dog friendly! Lots of seating around outside and inside. Quick service, very friendly. Lovely little village.
Stunning venue, wonderful, efficient service. Best roast dinner I have had in a while. Will definitely be returning.
