Wonderful pub with beautiful views of the canal. Food was delicious. Staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. We came here twice during our week long canal boat holiday and both times were outstanding.
Lovely place to sit by the side of the Kennet and Avon canal with a drink and watch life float bye. Food looks good but can't comment as didn't have any.
Lovely pub on the canal. Tasty food with hearty portions. Service can be a bit slow when really busy on a sunny day, but, the surroundings mean why would you want to rush.
Wonderful food / Great taste and value. Idyllic location. Lovely service. You’d be daft not to try it.

Food was really good, and plenty of seating both indoors and out. It’s right on the canal so is a really pleasant spot tucked away. The menu is only small, made more limited by items which were out which was disappointing. It is dog friendly, and she was welcome there without fuss.

Tiny Rebel easy living pale ale is a must if you like IPA. Thatcher's Gold and Moretti amongst he many drink offerings. Great food in an idyllic setting
The Barge scores highly on all fronts, a lovely quiet location with views of passing barges while you sit and enjoy a drink or a meal in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere under the huge riverbank willow tree if it’s sunny. It also has a large car park.

We both had the burger, and it was amazing! Not a scrap left. Chips were lovely and crunchy outside, fluffy in the middle.
For deserts we had 1 cheesecake and 1 ice cream, also very tasty.
Staff were welcoming, engaging and kept an eye on the table without being over the top.

The service was fantastic, the menu had a lovely selection, and the food was ok, but didn’t blow us away. More veggies on the plate please. Check the temperature of the food and try not to overload with dish too many flavours that mean you can no longer taste the base of the meal itself. Probably
