Kings Arms Hotel Restaurant - Melksham - Photo album

I've been really looking forward to a Sunday roast out for ages and this definitely DID NOT disappoint. Everything we had was cooked to perfection and not a morsel was left on our plates. Lots of food (not like some of these expensive pretentious places!) and left me feeling full for hours after.
We had a very positive experience with The King's Arms - from the uncomplicated booking process, information given beforehand up to friendly staff at service and generally a convenient stay. Beds were very comfortable although the room itself was rather small for the price we had paid. The pub is lo
Great food and lovely friendly staff. Good location with free parking at the back of the hotel. We stayed for one night with breakfast included which again was very nice. We booked last minute (within an hour of arriving) and they were happy to accommodate us and book us a table for dinner. Our room
Excellent Sunday lunch at the King's Arms. Very good service from the waiting staff and attention from the guy in charge with a lovely shirt! Good to have vegan options on the menu which aren't just the meat taken off a roast lunch. Very hot food which is a pleasant surprise after so many places
Lovely meal last night although both mackerel (& other dishes) not available. Service ok,2 staff walked past us twice before acknowledging us,had to ask for water, ice bucket, sauces as nothing was offered to us. Breakfast was lovely and staff were great too! Breakfast dining room is really pretty, nic
Nice location in the small town of Melksham, I stayed for a few nights B&B, my room #10 was very hot being right at the top of the building in the late summer heat. A nice comfy bed, TV, good wifi, nice bathroom with bath and shower. The breakfast was awesome, and you had several choices. Staff were
For those who like oldy-worldy pub hotels, this one is a must. I've had the pleasure of staying at this hotel twice and definitely would have stayed more if I could only get a booking. Like all these places. The choice of rooms is varied, so I can only comment on the two styles I've stayed in. The
Stayed for a couple of nights, b&b. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially the waitress in the morning. Centrally located with free parking and taxi rank opposite and a nice patio area to watch the world go by.
After a problem start with both the room and the food, the staff stepped up and sorted everything out. We were moved rooms and could not fault the new room. Breakfast was excellent. I had the eggs royal and thoroughly enjoyed it. Both our meals on the second night were very good. Enjoyed our stay.
I checked in on Thursday 5th October & stayed until the 7th. The manager immediately upgraded my elderly parents to a room on the ground floor to save my mother walking up any stairs as she has mobility issues. This was greatly appreciated, I can tell you! The rooms were absolutely spot on, as was t
We stayed at The Kings Arms Hotel for one night and we really enjoyed it. The staff were a delight, very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are cosy, comfortable and very clean. We had breakfast included and we thought it was delicious . We will definitely come back, it was great value for money.
We only stayed one night but wish we could have stayed longer. Our room was on the top floor and was beautiful. The room was clean with some lovely little touches including a thermose flask for cold milk, welcome pack and hand cream in the bathroom. We ate there in the evening and the service was pe
Beautiful rooms tastefully furnished. Very light and airy, spacious bathroom Dinner was disappointing but the Pub was very busy and they were very short staffed. The gentleman who greeted and looked after us was VERY pleasant extremely busy as he was on his own in the dinning room and could not have
We rented the Coach House for a private event. The room is great it has plenty of tables, chairs and even a projector with screen. The toilets are clean. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful in the lead up and during the event.
Four of us had an excellent lunch. It would have been great at the menu prices, but the Butcombe loyalty card made it superb value! Loved the jacket potatoes!
We had a lovely evening at The King's Arms. The room was tastefully decorated, very clean and had lots of thoughtful touches with bottled water, fresh milk and a lovely selection of teas and coffee. For guests with lots of luggage or accessibility issues, avoid rooms 9 and 10 which are at the top of
A very welcoming and friendly Pub in Melksham. We reserved a table for 11 people and the pre booking was very easy. Service charge is very fair and the beers and wine were great. Sunday menu had lots of variety and everyone thought it was delicious and that the Yorkshire Puddings were some of the b
Great location. Pub and bedrooms were clean and well presented. Free parking for guests. Felt safe as a single female traveller. Would recommend.
Decent beer and good food (could have been slightly hotter, but not worthy of complaint). Welcoming staff and okay pricing (not cheapest, but above average quality). Lovely front courtyard, great spot to watch the world go by
