Wonderful food, beautifully presented, the Roast beef gorgeously pink, lovely ambience in both the bar and the restaurant, staff were very attentive, but not overly so. This was our first visit here for a meal other than their excellent breakfast we have had a couple of times across the way, whilst up visiting friends for the weekend, I think it’s fairly safe to say it won’t be our last.
Well what a wonderful place to discover. Great food, great staff and a atmosphere that cant be topped. I felt very much at home.Thank you :)
We stayed one night and it was lovely. The food in the restaurant in the evening was very tasty - we enjoyed all 3 courses. Pleasantly surprised when we saw the bill, we expected it to be more but it wasn't !
Top marks for the Old Fashioned cocktails we had post our dinner, they were perfect !
Breakfast was lovely too - absolutely no complaints. We will most definitely be returning,
Thanks
Anthony & Debra
If our room had been one of the refurbished rooms, our stay would have been perfect.
But this will not stop us from going here again.
Service and food was perfect. Try the Brisket Burger it's fantastic.
Such a lovely restaurant, the decor, the staff, the whole ambience. There is a fantastic area to the rear, BBQ, and wooden dining area. To the front is a babbling brooke/stream with seating on both sides of it.
The Nevill Arms Inn is a truly wonderful experience. The food is usually spot on, too.
The problem with perfection is that when you get it wrong, people notice. For instance, we had a delicious starter of pea and asparagus soup, perfection in a bowl, no complaints!
The mains were a limited choice. We would have both chosen chicken if it were on the menu. The wife had a nut roast. She ate less than half of the nut construction.
I had a pork belly roast. The pork was OK at best, a parsnip was under cooked, and the Yorkshire pudding while it looked perfect, was a little over cooked, it just had a little bit of a burnt taste to it.
But as I've said, the Nevill Arms is usually really good, we chose not to say anything or give them an opportunity to put this right as it would of likely ruined our meal having plates taken away and brought back out.
If it's back to its normal level next time, I'll adjust the star rating back up to 5
Stayed overnight to attend a family gathering in Market Harborough.
Room we stayed in was a little tired but apparently they will be doing renovations soon. Staff lovely as was breakfast next morning. Would stay again and certainly recommend.
Fantastic location, worth seeking out. Food is brilliant. Our only issue was that 2 main courses turned up before starter followed by last main course 5 minutes later. Other than that lovely!
Great facilities for business meetings
A really top-notch place for business lunches or meetings – can’t recommend enough!
We hold regular all-day business meetings here using their private room off the restaurant, which is set out with a boardroom style table.
They recently installed a wide screen TV, which has been brilliant for presentations etc. It combines a beautiful location, friendly staff and delicious food, so doing business here is a real treat. A great way to get teams or senior management offsite for brainstorming, or to entertain/present to clients. The staff honestly can't do enough to help make our meetings work well - thanks for always making us feel so welcome.
Didn't stay long on this visit but long enough to appreciate the excellent service and really great beer. Brilliant and unique ambience. The Neville Arms is that very rare example of an expensive place which genuinely IS worth the money
Love this place! Cosy bar, lovely restaurant, great service and fab rooms. Our second visit and we will be back.
Absolutely lovely place in a peaceful village. Accessible and family friendly. Car park is quite small though.
Tasty hand cut chips and scallops. Will definitely visit again.
Stopped for lunch whilst working in the village. Wanted something light and was recommended the steak sandwich.. absolutely fantastic! I'll be back again, out of work this time 👍
Friends of ours who live locally took us here for Sunday lunch in late March. The pub/restaurant is very well appointed, decor top notch, the loos almost too nice to use. The lunch menu is small but perfectly balanced, 5 starters and mains or thereabouts, but the food quality is exceptional - my beef sirloin was as good as I've had anywhere, I didn't want it to end. Service was exceptional, someone is very good at recruitment. It's not cheap but is still very good value for money. Would recommend to anyone.
I cannot recommend this place enough!
From the moment we arrived the service was exemplary; quick and attentive.
The food was excellent. The menu is varied but not too extensive.
It was my friends birthday and they did a lovely job of making it special for her.
Thank you…… I will be back!!
I was really disappointed this Pub is now a restaurant! When we visited for drinks we had to sit outside as all the tables in the bar were set for dinner. This approach rips the village community apart. So sad this is happening everywhere these days.
Excellent value bar snacks, classic country pub with decent restaurant in a great location, and with a slightly expanded car park.
We booked a table for Sunday lunch with friends. The table was ready, we were escorted and seated and order drinks, perfect. Lunch was very good, a number of choices Roast beef or in my case belly pork. Very well presented. The staff were very attentive. All in all a great time. Thank you.
Only had lunch but great food with excellent service.
Beautiful location, a real picture postcard village. The pub has a modern feel with a decent beer choice. The food was excellent. The rooms are a little dated when compared to the main pub but are fine. Service was great throughout.
