Had a lovely evening meal here. Staff were friendly and helpful. They had a separate Gluten free menu, so I was able to enjoy creamy garlic mushrooms for starter and a Cajun chicken pizza....both were gorgeous. My parents ordered off the normal menu and both meals were also gorgeous and good portion sizes. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Stayed one night. Friendly, welcoming staff, large car park. More of a place to eat than to drop into for a quiet drink with friends. There do seem to be some regulars but you can only sit at the bar. A nice atmosphere and dogs are welcome. The evening meal was excellent and filling.

We booked one night here while we were house hunting in the area. The staff were great getting us checked in & helped carry bags up to our room. The room was a good size, the beds were comfy, the bathroom could do with a bit of work but it was fine for us for a one night stay. We had a drink in the lovely sunny beer garden & also went inside for a meal. We both ordered small portions of our preferred dishes but the food was very generous still & neither of us managed to eat it all. It was very tasty. The pub is off a busy road but it wasn't too noisy & was in a lovely scenic location just near the river

Only came for food but wow, the food was fantastic. Way above what pub grub usually is. Great lovely waitresses. I had the pork belly, wife had the mixed grill and both wowed by the quality. Large portions too. Great place

Didn’t stay in the rooms, stayed in the field out back on a pub stopover in our camper . The food is incredible ! It’s a real Busy locals pub, filled with chatter and laughter ! The staff are all really lovely, really friendly and the menu for gluten free options is massive ! The portions are huge ! The field out back is a decent size and it’s private enough for a decent night , no facilities but if your in a van you have your own ! Great spot ! Great food ! Wonderful people Thanks guys

Our car club uses this place often, for big gatherings, it's 100% reliable, the food is always great, There is a large party venue room, which you have to yourself. The service is spot on too. Very well run. Definitely recommend for bigger do's.

We are cycle touring and stayed here. Highly recommended. Secure room for our bicycles, good dinner and full breakfast to set us up for the day ahead. All for a good price. Thank you 👍

We were there on a busy Friday night and they still managed to find us a table for six. Popular pub. Staff friendly and helpful. Some good regular pub food available and everyone in our party very happy with the quality. Fair price as well. Good size car park easy to access. Would definitely visit again if we're in the Ashbourne area.

Called in here for lunch today. We both really enjoyed our meal, excellent service and good value too! Can't wait to return again and try the rest of the menu.
