Returned after a two year gap. The extension built on the back of the restaurant is superb with views overlooking the valley. Excellent food and service. Definitely a must if visiting Mayfield and surrounding area. Lunch is as good
Food is Michelin standard. I'm a local (now) and spotted the Range Rovers outside every evening. They stream in from miles around for the food. It's amazing. I'm now a fan.

We had lunch on Sunday. Great setting and service. All good excellent bar the Caesar salad. It didn’t have romaine lettuce and the bacon was not crispy nor the chicken grilled. Have had the best roast dinner today the roast potatoes were the best I’ve had. The staff worked so hard on such a hot day. I highly recommend if you haven’t been to definitely get booked in and have a meal. We will be back as so many good things on the menu to try. The views are amazing to sit and
I didn't stay at the hotel just had sunday lunch. The food was very nice but the service was slow. We had to keep trying to catch the eye of the waitress...it did get busy but they needed more staff to cope with it.
