Popped in for a pint and a Sunday roast. Cosy fire, delicious food, great beer, friendly and attentive staff - what’s not to like?!
We came to The Ferryboat Inn for my Brother's wedding on Saturday and we just wanted to thank you all. The staff were amazing and so friendly and the food was impeccable. We love this little pub... thanks for making the day so great. :)
Very friendly staff and great food well worth a visit
Beautiful day. Sat outside in November. Food delicious. Staff very attentive. Excellent. (Bit of s jaunt up the hill when you’ve eaten tho lol)
Lovely place, the food was great the staff were friendly and lovely views
Absolutely amazing steak and the garlic mushroom and vine tomatoes were delicious! I love that they serve half a bottle of wine, service was fabulous and the location is great!
Impromptu visit to the Ferryboat, ended up eating, we had fishcakes with samphire, green beans and potatos and chicken shnitzel with rocket and parmesan salad. Such great flavours in all the dishes. Should also mention the heavenly sticky toffee pudding . Good service and polite helpful staff.
We visited the Ferryboat Inn after a lovely walk around Durgan to Maenporth. What can I say? A very warm welcome from the staff, a great atmosphere & amazing food, we had the chicken schnitzel, so tasty!
Fantastic 5 hours spent relaxing there yesterday, excellent bar service and the football was sorted as well, thanks guys.
Exceptional food, service and location!!! We ate here multiple times during our week's visit to Cornwall! The crab roll was filled with so much crab meat and was incredible! As was the crab linguine with pan fried sea bass. We have also had the fish and chips and chicken parmigiana - both faultless!
If you have a sweet tooth then the sticky toffee pudding and Eton mess won't disappoint!
The staff are super welcoming and well trained and the setting, overlooking the Helford River boats is charming! Highly recommended 👌
Had a lovely lunch with a group of friends and family! Had the Chicken Schnitzel, the portion was fairly big, not as crispy as I had expected it to be, but that was likely due to the butter that ran through from the young potatoes. Also had Sticky Toffee Pudding, my weakness when it comes to desserts - it was super nice that they did replace the clotted cream with ice cream as per my request, loads of caramel sauce that got soaked up quickly!
1 of the most beautiful places in Cornwall
The food in the ferry boat Inn is outstanding the staff are so friendly and helpful
My happy place
Stayed here for two nights and for accommodation above a pub, this place was really fantastic. Room was immaculate. The most welcoming service and friendly staff we were made to feel so at home. lovely selection for breakfast and a fantastic view overlooking Fowey harbour. Would love to come back here again. Very dog friendly too
Fantastic pub in a beautiful setting. We arrived early for our table and had a drink outside in the sunshine. Was given an option to stay outside or come in and eat, which was lovely. We ate inside and all 4 of us ordered off the specials board. The prawn main in garlic and chilli was exceptional and went great with a side of fries. The seabass and crab linguine was another highlight and was obviously popular, as it had sold out by 7pm. Service was great and there was a lovely selection of beers and soft drinks to please all. A really great pub that's definitely worth the steep walk down from the car park.
Wonderful ancient hostelry by the river a lovely atmosphere friendly staff. Meals superb and very good value. Excellent views from the terrace.
The menu and food is amazing, and what a view. Look forward to coming back some day!
Great pub in a fantastic location directly overlooking Helford river. A fantastic spot to get a refreshing drink and sit outside watching the boating activties on the river.
Delicious food and friendly staff. I’d recommend the crispy squid and prawns, as well as the fries!
in terms of getting to the Inn, I would not recommend driving from Gweek to Helford Passage as our satnav took us down the narrowest roads and we had to reverse back down hills multiple times for cars to pass by. definitely go via a main road instead as it will be much less stressful!
Last minute visit as a fellow walker recommended this pub. We later drove to the hamlet, parking is "up the hill".Luckily a table was available and we were not disappointed. Excellent food Excellent service friendly helpful staff. Good selection of local produce. , great choice of wines and ales.
Lovely place to sit and look out over Helford, lots of seating outside if the weather is nice.
Fair bit of choice on the menu including lots of gluten free options. Or you can just sit and have a coffee.
It's also dog friendly.
Lovely beer on the bench watching the kids play on the beach. Good friendly service and the food looked great, I certainly heard no complaints from the diners around me.
Lovely views with a sunny aspect. Friendly staff, quick service and tasty food.
I moored up on one of the boys and made a reservation. I got the water taxi across to the pub which had a lively atmosphere with most of the outdoor tables taken. The table I had was overlooking the beach/waterfront. Good choices of fish on the specials board and the main menu was pretty good too.
A good selection of beers and wines.
Overall a good experience.
I left before the Morris men arrived.
We stayed next door last end of September. Was just opening doors once more to inside customers.
Absolutely fantastic pub in a most idyllic location.
Service was excellent and the people were lovely.
Food was out of this world, I'd say the fish and chips is up there in my top 3!!!
Would recommend any day of the week.
A well situated pub by the beach with gorgeous views out into the estuary. The food is nice and well presented and the prices are decent. Convenient parking not far away £2 for a day parking.
Never a bad visit to the Ferry boat Inn and today was no different. Excellent place and friendly staff. Lovely hidden gem on the Halford Passage which is worth the adventure to find.
Only grumble is the price of Korev is creeping up, £6.10 a pint, however it was a 'proper good pint' 👍
The food here and the view here is a perfect combination! Came here after spending a day on the boats (recommended to us by the boat people) and it did not disappoint. The fish and chips were lush, very fresh and delicious. The beef brisket was also amazing. The specials were also lovely, everyone really enjoyed the linguine!!! Would highly recommend
