I had the Lite Bites Fish and Chips with garden peas. The menu said mushy peas so I asked if they would do garden peas instead and they said they would. The meal was perfect. Cooked really well. Then I had Lemon Meringue for dessert. Well that was excellent. The pastry was lovely and the lemon well oh my... The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this pub/restaurant and I can’t wait to go there again. Thanks Red Lion x

Went on Sunday for a joint 50th and 4th birthday, nick was brilliant and was happy to do a 3 course or 2 course menu for us at 13.95 and 15.95 a head,a simple menu which catered for all, ordered the food on Wednesday night to save hassle in kitchen on the day,and when it arrived the food was very nice, don't think anyone complained about the food, staff very friendly and helpful,a really good day had there, cheers guys

We received a warm welcome and we're sat in the restaurant. The staff were fabulous and attentive. The beer was as delicious as the food! I'd recommend the lamb roast and the chocolate delize, that was FAB! Thank you for the hospitality, we will definitely be returning!

Staff were very welcoming, attentive without being intrusive and very professional .., food was first class ... lunchtime menu .. I had the steak ciabatta with peppercorn sauce and a side of fat chips .. steak cooked rare how I like it and chips were proper chips .. a rarity these days .. a wonderful lunchtime treat

Been twice and the food was great. Only downside was the wait we had to endure. First time we waited over half an hour for starters then another hour for mains. They were very apologetic and said it was because they had a new chef and new menu starting that night and didn't charge for the starters. We accepted that and so went again a second time. Sadly our wait was the same even though it wasnt even a quarter full. I've still given 5 stars because the food was that good but sadly i've not been back

We called in for lunch on Wednesday and was not disappointed A lovely tasty starter followed by a “medium “ fish and chips ,goodness knows what the large size is as we both struggled to finish the beautifully cooked meal. Our waitress was lovely, very attentive and cheerful In the words of Arnie “ we will be back” 😊🕺🏻👏

The Awesome Red Lion, just fabulous. Staff always friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing with a good variety of vegetarian options, not something most places seem to be able to manage. Great range of Beers! The whole team are brilliant!
