Lovely pub full of character, food was wonderful and staff very friendly and welcoming. We did not have a booking but staff found us a table. Thanks guys.
Lovely dog friendly little country pub/restaurant.. Lovely food and friendly staff. Reasonable prices ☺
My son had a pie which was full of meat and I had a steak sandwich and chips.
Lovely food nice cup of tea although the teapot was half full?? Weird but hey ho
Great company. Nice pub.
Lovely pub. Dog friendly. Friendly staff. Beer festival, great music and awesome ciders
Great food - superb and plentiful roast - good beers, very accommodating staff and exceptionally dog friendly. The staff were also great in providing directions for our post lynch walk. I'd give this place 10/10 as a venue for Sunday lunch but can't speak for its offering at other times.
Visiting area and we have eaten here two nights in a row. Beautiful laid out building and amazing food. Will definitely return. Well done to everyone who works there your all doing an amazing job.
Thank you for our wonderful evening last night 15th November. We had a table for nine. The food and service were excellent. Great food and great staff. Will definitely return.
Busy, friendly, classy and professional staff, great food at reasonable prices, with a lovely atmosphere to boot. Our first visit but won't be our last!
We went to the leather bottle for dinner after doing the circular walk, if the weather is good, it’s lovely to sit outside, the fish was very good, the bao buns too. unfortunately this may just be my own experience but the service was incredibly slow. However the building and garden have a good atmosphere so I would definitely recommend the food, drink and the walk!
Superb country pub. Excellent allergen list for the whole menu. Really good food cooked well. Great local real ales. I was lucky to snap these photos before.
Walked in on spec (Weds evening, 19:00) and just got a table for dinner in the bar as it was fairly busy.
Service and food were excellent, well paced and attentive service, and food that did just what the menu promised.
Only the coffee offered room for improvement
stunning pub with gorgeous outdoor terrace and courtyard! visited in the evening on a tuesday and had a lush meal outside. we had starters mains and deserts and they all came out promptly, chicken wings starter was delicious and the mains were incredible, cannot reccomend more! we also had the waffle for desert which was the perfect way to finish the meal, nice and fresh and not too sweet and filling! 10/10 evening all in all with amazing service from our waiters too. will be back soon!
Enjoyed a lovely meal (sausage and mash) was super yummy. Staff were helpful. Beautiful atmosphere. Reasonable prices happy customer! Definitely recommend going!
Smashed it out the field: Fantastic food. Great service. Such a great menu. Cosy by the fireside too. Can't wait to return!!
Sunday lunch was amazing. Great choice of drinks, beer garden is great. Especially in the blazing sunshine on thr day of our visit.
The food was simply outstanding. My meal was typical traditional Sunday fayre - lean and lightly roasted beef in thin slices with Yorkshire pudding plus the usual trimmings. This combination produced a feast so tasty that I ate everything on the plate!
Pub seemed lovely. Only went for one drink but the menu looked good and the drink selection was decent. The pub was fairly hot though for me. Plenty of parking and a few interesting bits on the history of the pub. Staff seemed friendly and happy.
Quintessentially English gastro pub. Insanely good food, beautiful countryside setting, very interesting history dating back to the 1700's. Wonderful service. I came out of a 2 year review-sabbatical to post this. I had the Potted Smoked Mackerel which was a wonderfully balanced dish, way lighter than I had expected with so many complementing flavours. Followed up with Fish Pie, which was again superb and way above average.
