The Leather Bottle - Mattingley - Photo album

We went to the leather bottle for dinner after doing the circular walk, if the weather is good, it’s lovely to sit outside, the fish was very good, the bao buns too. unfortunately this may just be my own experience but the service was incredibly slow. However the building and garden have a good atmo
Superb country pub. Excellent allergen list for the whole menu. Really good food cooked well. Great local real ales. I was lucky to snap these photos before.
Walked in on spec (Weds evening, 19:00) and just got a table for dinner in the bar as it was fairly busy. Service and food were excellent, well paced and attentive service, and food that did just what the menu promised. Only the coffee offered room for improvement
stunning pub with gorgeous outdoor terrace and courtyard! visited in the evening on a tuesday and had a lush meal outside. we had starters mains and deserts and they all came out promptly, chicken wings starter was delicious and the mains were incredible, cannot reccomend more! we also had the waffl
Enjoyed a lovely meal (sausage and mash) was super yummy. Staff were helpful. Beautiful atmosphere. Reasonable prices happy customer! Definitely recommend going!
Smashed it out the field: Fantastic food. Great service. Such a great menu. Cosy by the fireside too. Can't wait to return!!
Sunday lunch was amazing. Great choice of drinks, beer garden is great. Especially in the blazing sunshine on thr day of our visit.
The food was simply outstanding. My meal was typical traditional Sunday fayre - lean and lightly roasted beef in thin slices with Yorkshire pudding plus the usual trimmings. This combination produced a feast so tasty that I ate everything on the plate!
Pub seemed lovely. Only went for one drink but the menu looked good and the drink selection was decent. The pub was fairly hot though for me. Plenty of parking and a few interesting bits on the history of the pub. Staff seemed friendly and happy.
Quintessentially English gastro pub. Insanely good food, beautiful countryside setting, very interesting history dating back to the 1700's. Wonderful service. I came out of a 2 year review-sabbatical to post this. I had the Potted Smoked Mackerel which was a wonderfully balanced dish, way lighter
