We found this place after navigating past the myriad of fish and chip shops in Matlock Bath, in search of a decent hot drink and a sandwich. We were overwhelmed by the quality, portions and value for money. And the staff are incredibly friendly. A must visit if you’re in this neck of the woods.

Dropped in for a brew, my daughter had a tea, and I had coffee. We didn't have food. We sat outside, as it was table service, friendly staff and a good price for the drinks, I would and will definitely go back.

Doesn't look great from outside but food and service was great. Very good cause to support this cafe to help to raise money to save the pavilion

We booked onto the Wreath Making Activity hosted at The Restoration Cafe and I have to say, this was the best one I have been to! They were great hosts, very generous and we had so much fun. Will definitely be back next year and recommend to everyone!!

Excellent coffee. Tasty smoked salmon & scrambled eggs. Had the smaller portion and it was still huge. Good value for money. Cakes looked delish.

Whilst I love the bikers who frequent the area at weekends, it was their absence that meant there was room for us to actually squeeze inside here as it's usually packed! Wonderful little cafe set up and staffed by volunteers to promote a wonderful cause. Lovely menu, lovely people, and a fabulous friendly atmosphere. So long as we can get in, we will definitely be back. Thank you Restoration Cafe 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Good tea shop in the park. Homemade cake and a pot of tea, what could be better after a leisurely walk and small train ride.

We had a generously sized sandwich and an equally large bowl of soup. Both were delicious!

Warm, welcoming community cafe in the historic Kursaal/spa pavilion. Any profits from the catering go towards restoring the riverside Edwardian landmark as a multi-use venue for the enjoyment of visitors as well as locals. Good choice of baked goods and cakes, soup and hot snacks. Proper coffee, good tea... and they're even licensed! Friendly, helpful staff. Dog and child friendly. Budget-friendly prices, too.
