Best pie and chips! Always come here when visiting Matlock. Friendly & welcoming staff and clean well laid out table area. Even gave dog a sausage! Excellent value for money.
Great food and wonderful service. We are a family of four and all had lunch. Fish and chips with the choice of sides was amazing and my son devoured his jacket potato. It's not often we all clear our plates, but we absolutely did. Great service from the staff, extremely kind and helpful.
Had lunch here today fish chips and mushy peas, fish was lovely batter was nice and crispy peas were good too however a little tight on the chip portion and too many hard crunchy bits in there too partner was well happy with her small adult fish cake chips and peas although her portion of chips was
stopped here for dinner while visiting. excellent fish and chips, best we've had!!! good price too and we could have a beer too!! Charles was brilliant. thoroughly recommend
Lovely fish n chips. Gluten free was poached fish and chips not batter but looked good. Friendly service, clean and accommodating for wheelchair user and furry friend.
We met here prior to starting a bike tour . What great staff ! Nothing was too much trouble . We all ordered food at different times due to us meeting but they never hassled us to leave . Asked if we wanted more drinks etc and let us all pay separately. They never made us feel we were taking up ta
We was in Matlock Friday,sat down for some food..very friendly manager,went out his way.we had pie, chips,peas,fish sandwich 😜.. pasty,chips beans,tea and cider.
Great location watching the world go by, food was good and wholesome.

Fantastic fish and chips - very friendly staff - seen a few people moaning about lack of chips - not true - but if so just ask for more - really great food and staff are mega friendly.
Amazing, the food was so fresh and delicious! The curry sauce tasted like Heaven and the people were so nice and patient about us ordering! 10/10, definitely recommend, will 100% go there again!
The best fish and chips. Fish is so fresh. Fish bater really crispy , presentation on plate is very good. Staff are very kind. I will go again

Nice food, fresh and hot. Battered on the fish was amazing. Very old fashioned which gave it character. Overall not bad.
Can highly recommend everything about this restaurant, fish and chips were delicious, jacket potato, salad and tuna mayo so fresh and a filling portion. Tea in pots that pour without dripping everywhere. Friendly efficient service. 5*'ss.
I had breakfast 2 days running whilst in my stay. Great food, really nice staff. Quick to be seated, time given to order food was perfect. Lovely coffee and great tasting food quickly brought to the table especially as it was freshly cooked.
