The food my friends ordered looked and tasted great, really impressed!
But the Deep Fried Vegetable with Sweet and Sour Sauce I ordered just wasn't it, and I was very disappointed with it.
It was more of an appetizer than a meal.
My friends were apparently really good tho, so would absolutely try again with something different the next time we're in Matlock!
In the centre of Matlock an the first floor it's so nice to visit a Chinese restaurant. All very colourful,nice atmosphere and good service.Plenty of staff to help you ,no real waiting time and the food piping hot.I started with the soup then the king prawn curry,chips and rice and loved it.Just below you have the Derwent gardens,the river and the sights of Matlock.

They had a great range of veggie/ vegan dishes, the food tasted fresh, it was served very hot and all round delicious! The service was friendly and efficient too.
Will be back if we are ever in the peaks again!

Lovely restaurant. We ate in and the atmosphere and the service was great and the food was beautiful, would definitely come here again. We tried the curry, sweet and sour chicken Cantonese style, egg fried rice, chow mein and spring rolls, all were cooked to perfection.

Proper, authentic restaurant and excellent value
Ate here mid week with the family as we were in the area for a few days. We were the only once’s in the restaurant, so was a little worried BUT, the team were lovely the waiter showed my daughter how to do origami which she loved. Fab food, good portions, friendly people.
Totally agree with other reviews don’t be put off from the outside.
Also the takeaway seemed really busy, either way would recommend eat in or takeaway.

This is such a wonderful Chinese restruant and takeaway.
There is lovely Chinese music which is played onto the street and greets you as you enter up the stairs and in the dining area.
There is a large dining area overlooking the famously busy Matlock bath.
The menu is extensive and the food beautifully cooked and presented.
The menu options tried were absolutely delicious and made to eat slowly and savour each mouthful.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Looks a bit tired from outside, don't let that put you off. The food was very nice, and served on the hot candle metal plate. Very friendly hosts and the food was served hot and in quick time.
A tad pricey but it is the only chinese in town. Next time I'm in Matlock bath I'll be sure to visit.
Staff here are absolutely lovely, were very conscientious of my peanut allergy and the food was absolutely gorgeous. I cannot recommend here enough, I'll definitely be coming back for more!
Food absolutely beautiful worth the money staff amazing and even learned how to fold napkins from a lovely little girl will definitely be returning very soon and definitely recommend this place thank you guys.
