Cosy Curry House. Only had the lamb madras with boiled rice, but it was delicious. Although it was busy we managed to get a table by the window.

The food was so good at the Balti we had it on two nights of our week long stay in a cottage. Chicken korma, lamb bhuna, ch tikka masala, rice and garlic and peshwari naans. They deliver. I collected, and due to flooding, road closures and an accident I was late collecting both times. Both times the staff insisted on providing fresh chips instead of letting me leave with soggy ones! They even sent me on my way with a complimentary beer the second time. We didn't eat in, but the restaurant is set in a beautiful old (Victorian?) venue. Great food, lovely people. Thanks 'The Balti', good job.

I had a pleasure to dine out in this lovely place. It's a place where you can taste authentic Indian cuisine. The meal was delicious and supreme, fresh tasting and adjusted to tanginess preferences. The portions are generous, you won't leave hungry. The menu is varied, for sure you'll find something for your taste. Have a look at wine list - the wine recommended by the staff was ideal and one of the best I've ever had. All reasonably priced.
The customer service was amazing, very friendly, helpful and professional staff- there was no problem to adjust hot intensity of the meal, swap some ingredients and get wine recommendations.
On the top of that- the place itself. It's decorated in modern way but still cosy and you feel welcome. The decor is fabulous. Music just completes the whole atmosphere, connecting the sublime meal, delicious food smells, excellent taste, the restaurant decor all together.
My recommendation is 10 out of 5, it's one of the best places I have dined out (it's not only about the excellent food but the whole place itself) and for sure I'll be back when I'm in the area.
PS. The restaurant is moved to the corner building.
This is the best Indian cuisine experience ever. The food is exquisite, the ambience is relaxing, welcoming and upmarket. Can not praise this dining experience enough.

The decor is really great. It looks recently refurbished and quite classy. However, they didn't bat an eyelid when a load of walkers came in. So, it has a nice relaxed feel and is very welcoming.
The staff are great too, really funny and encouraged us to go off menu if we wished and that it was just for guidance.
We had chicken Jalfrazi - which was lovely
Lamb with spinach - which was incredible
Their Aubergine side curry - again, lovely
I asked if they could do Chilli Paneer as it wasn't on the menu and it's one of my favourites. OMG. It was AMAZING!!!
So, all in all, we couldn't fault it :)
3rd time we've visited in October in the last 3 years. Excellent food and service, thank you and see you next year if not before.
Excellent welcome, even though it was busy they managed to find us a table, the atmosphere is relaxed & service is relaxed & pleasant. The food was very tasty and served piping hot & freshly cooked (excellent for vegetarians). The final bill was a bit expensive, but well worth it for the quantity & quality.
We have visited at least three times and have been very happy with every aspect of our meals there - it’s very clean and much more spacious - food is excellent and service brilliant with a relaxing ambience helped by the huge wall hangings depicting scenes from India
Food was delicious. Only reason for four stars is there is quite a big price difference between their takeout and sit in menu, all main courses are £5 more expensive if you sit in!
So perfect I couldn't ask for more
Amazing customer service. Fantastic authentic Indian food, with a relaxing atmosphere. We had a great evening out for mothers day and would reccomend to anyone.
No Nagra, Samosa made with pastry, don't think they were home made, but great service and food OK.

This is only our second time here, but must say. The Staff Service Excellent, The Atmosphere Excellent. The Food was beyond Excellent as I told The Boss there. We have NEVER tasted any better Indian Food such as what is Served there. Definitely Highly Recommended and would be willing to travel from Mansfield everytime. Many thanks

Dining options in Matlock Bath are limited! So we didn’t have very high expectations for a midweek meal. But we were very pleasantly surprised! The food and service were fantastic. The decor was very modern and stylish. The spice of the food was just right, good amount of meat and good portions. It wasn’t a cheap meal but certainly worth it. Very impressed!
