A charming pub. Always busy, it’s advisable to book for food - but well worth it.
We phoned to check if they could accommodate us last minute for my birthday and were lucky!
What a treat, superb roast - best I’ve had period!
I must try the pizza, many people have recommended it.
Thanks to Jonathon, Josh (the chef) and Izzy
Ordered a takeaway from here, delivery free locally. Great selection of drinks and the food is unbelievable!! Highly recommend. Now this is what a pub that does food should be like!
Gorgeous little pub! Staff super friendly. Fantastic food. Multi-tiered garden. Dog-friendly (expect lots). Lovely beers on tap too.
Only fault is that I'm too far away to walk to it!! 😂
Fabulous evening at The Hopbine a lovely country pub.
Excellent service from JB and his staff. The pizzas were delicious as were the oysters. Topped off with some visiting Morris Dancers.
Have been visiting this pub for many years and would highly recommend. Booking in advance for food on busy nights is a good idea and the style is top end. Love meeting interesting people here and new faces always a welcome sight.
An absolutely beautiful old country pub in the heart of Kent. Very friendly. Will definitely be returning. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
As I climbed the hill on my trusty bike I was faced with the welcome sight of The Hopbine Inn. It was 17:45 and the humble pub began to buzz. As I entered I noticed there were reservations signs on most of the available dining tables.
I took a look at the menu and asked the staff for recommendations. The restricted range focussed on pizza and burgers. “Fast food in a traditional pub?!” I went along with it and ordered Mac and cheese for starter followed by a florentine pizza for main. When the food promptly arrived I was pleasantly surprised.
They were some of the best examples of these dishes I have eaten in my lifetime. Eating modern trendy, high quality fast food in Traditional pub surroundings felt like a breath of fresh air.
As I finished the last slice of pizza the customers began to arrive in droves. Be sure to book a table before hand to avoid disappointment.
A small pub with huge character! Genuinely amazing food, probably the best food I've had from a pub, fantastic chips, PLEASE TRY THE PULLED PORK BAP, IT'SAWSOME!!! Great selection on tap (including clarkson's hawkstone lager 😁👌) and REALLY friendly staff. Plus loads of parking nearby. You won't regret visiting!
This might just be the best pub in the UK.
I originally came to try Hawkstone Larger after watching Clarksons' Farm (found this pub on the Hawkstone website) and was pleasantly surprised to find my new favourite pub and restaurant!
The food is impeccable. Some of the most amazing pizzas you've ever had. This is the second time I've been and both times were flawless. My farther is particularly fussy and difficult to find food he likes, but even he admitted it's the best pizza he's ever had - high praise indeed! I personally travel around the world for work and can confirm the pizzas are better than most found in Italy!
The staff couldn't be friendlier, especially the (I assume) owner who ended up giving me a Hawkstone glass. All staff are excellent and go above and beyond to ensure comfort and an enjoyable experience.
I wish I lived closer. I don't think there would be an evening where you wouldn't find me here. This is a truly outstanding pub, exceeding expectations in every category.
I highly recommend booking, this pub is often packed so book to ensure a table.
Can't wait to come back, and wish every pub across the UK was like the Hopbine.
What a great little pub. They do very good woodfired pizzas. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.
*** Do yourself a favour -and GO! ***
Wow - even though this place is a mere 15 mins drive away I’ve never considered going here.
Well, we finally did , and what an experience it was.
Great selection of ales n cider including the Jeremy ( but is it?) Clarkson ciders.
The food was brill, I’d recommend the Padrón peppers as a starter, and the onglet ( skirt steak) - a veritable explosion of locally sourced beef, cooked tenderly, and perhaps the best onglet I’ve tasted in years.
A low beamed, local, and welcoming inn for all.
Don’t dither - Do It
Delicious Pulled pork burger and fries. The pork was tender with a nice juicy bbq cider sauce and the Chipotle coleslaw contrasted well with the temperature and added a little kick to it, sandwiched together with a nice soft brioche bun. Fries were crispy and filling.
For £11.95 I enjoyed the meal but only thing I would say for that price is if the bun could be slightly toasted and the fries to be skin on as it seemed like they werent home made as otherwise I think £9.95 or £10.95 would be more ideal.
Lovely small pub with good beer and lovely food. Worth trying the pizzas.
Only been once but a nice small pub with friend staff/patrons and ate one of the nicest pizzas I’ve ever had
Another good country pub, middle of the countryside. Snug inside, and good outside space for when the weather is good too
Amazing (veggie) roast dinner, beautiful pub, lovely staff & dog friendly!
Lovely little pub and great roasts. The cauliflower cheese was divine. There were six of us and the pub was full but the service was fantastic. Would highly recommend
The Sunday Roast is absolutely incredible, one of the best I’ve had, make sure you get the Cauliflower Cheese too! Great pub, friendly service, pretty Village, highly recommend!
Decent food and decent Ale 👌 well worth a visit, the Harvey's is one of the best pints I've had, the staff and management go above and beyond
Well done the Hopbine
