We stayed in Masham for the weekend and called in for lunch, fantastic pub, great atmosphere and awesome food, my wife and I both had steak pie with chips and peas. This is the best pie ever, the chips were delicious also, the food might take a while but they are very busy and the food is cooked fresh for you. We live 1 hour 40 mins drive away and we will certainly be returning to The Bruce Arms just for the steak pie.

Visited Masham Steam Fair July 2017 we reserved a table for food and drink which was excellent, staff very friendly at the busy bar, plus superb views in the beer garden, a must to visit especially if you like dogs, Hank the resident pooch is a character!

Just had a weekend in Masham, we loved this pub so much we didn't even try any others, ourselves and our 2 dogs were made to feel so welcome, we had the fish and chips on Friday, fish was huge and delicious, the chips were by far the best we've ever had. Popped in a few times over the rest of the weekend and had Sunday lunch, lovely. Thanks to the whole team for making our weekend a great one.

Best pub in Masham by a mile. Great food and even better hospitality. Get yourself in for a pint

Popped in for a drink after our walk. Pub was quiet as it was a Saturday afternoon and no food on as the pub is under new ownership. We were served quickly by a friendly member of staff. The pub was welcoming and well decorated

Lovely staff, really tentive and helpful! Great relaxing atmosphere. The food was cooked beautifully and full of flavour and well worth the money paid. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back.

Fantastic Sunday dinner, great value, washed down with a canny pint of Theakstons. Best Sunday dinner we've had for a while. Beer garden was large and clean. Staff were very good

We called in for Sunday lunch where we were served 'proper food' instead of the standard pub chain food. The cauliflower cheese was just amazing.

An absolutely incredible pub. Amazing beer selection with local Old P and Black Sheep available. The food is fantastic. One of my favourite pubs I've visited in a long day. Dogs and walkers welcome which seemed to be a rarity in the village. The pub had a great atmosphere and extremely well presented.

Absolutely brilliant, staff food, service outstanding. A brilliant pint, so good we haven't even spent time in any other pub in Masham. And the pie first-class can't remember having a better pie in years.

A pub that serves both Theakstons and Black Sheep with a great selection of good. Friendly bar staff and great service. Three out of four of us had the steak and ale pie with chips and peas, and I can honestly say I have never had a better pie. Unctuous filling and perfectly crisp pastry. All the food was piping hot and quite delicious. We will definitely eat here again.

Visited with friends and their dog during the Steam Engine and Tractor Fayre so the place was packed. Took us a while to get seated together as it's not a big pub, however once we did, we enjoyed some good ales and food. My Liver and Onions with Mash was gorgeous. Dog was made welcome as well.

Nice pub, probably the smallest of the pubs we visited in Masham, and probably not as lavish as others, however still ok. Service was decent and the bar staff was very friendly. Atmosphere was quiet but still pleasant. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the food as we didn't try any and only went in for a drink, but I'm sure it will be good. The establishment is also dog friendly. The Bruce Arms is worth a look if you want a pub to visit in Masham.

Dog friendly pub in the centre of Masham, proffering handpulled cask beers which included Theakston Lightfoot, Theakston Old Peculier, Theakston Best Bitter, Black Sheep and Timothy Taylor Landlord. Home cooked food, beer garden and additional seating outside to the front.
