Lovely lunch today. Both husband and I had the smaller portion meals which were adequate especially if wanting a dessert. Husband had syrup sponge pudding which was very light served with custard. Good menu selection for all tastes. Lovely Tennant Pam very friendly

Superb little pub a short drive from the beach and surrounded by beautiful countryside. The food was excellent - we had gammon steak with egg, chips and homemade coleslaw and the scampi with homemade tartare sauce (incredible) chips and salad. It was all perfectly cooked, hot and excellent quality. Service was brilliant. Take cash if you want to tip as they couldn't take a tip on the card machine, and believe me you will want to tip. It is very dog friendly and even had a little section in the menu dedicated to the doggies 💕. Thank you Lowther Arms for an absolutely delightful lunch experience!

Fab little pub in Mawbray. Pam the tennant couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. She knew we were coming (I called to check it was open) and she put the log burner on so it was toasty and warm on arrival. Having been to a few places in the local area, I can definitely recommend it as one of the nicest.

Went to The Lowther Arms the other evening, we were stopping locally in Bitterlees. We had a lovely meal, very filling! The staff were so friendly. We sat outdoors in the beer garden, it was lovely. Even the dog got a bowl of sausage pieces! Lovely visit, would definitely recommend.

Fabulous pitching site next to the pub. Community run pub with a great selection of ales and varies tastes on the menu. Including vegan and gluten-free. Great service throughout. Local beaches are both in walking distance and by car. Larger supermarkets are about 10 min drive.

A Saturday lunch was enjoyed here, along with a good fresh ale. It was scrummy, and the whole experience was first rate. We'll be back!

Friendly staff and great service. Good selection of food available. We had a chicken burger and a vegetarian burger and both were very tasty, well cooked and garnished and served with chips and side salad. Food quality was excellent and very generous portions. No room for the famous pubs. Good house red and a selection of beers available. Highly recommended.

I went here with my fiancé at the start of the year for a break away. We stayed in the Camping Pod that is on site - The pod is very cosy, and is suitable for families too. There are many facilities that come with the Camping Pod too: it has a mini-fridge, underfloor heating, a Patio area, a woodburner, a Picnic bench, a double bed as well bunkbeds. There are many facilities that are on site too: there is the Lowther Arms Community Pub, Parking, a toilet and shower block (although there is only 1 shower and toilet - so will have to wait for it to be free before you can use it), the site is also dog friendly, campervan and tent friendly too. The Lowther Arms Community Pub is in a nice little village, not much to do in the village though - although it is not far from the beach.
