Fab old skool pub, and Freehouse to boot which if we don't continue to support will soon be a thing of the past! Proper pub ambience. Deep red chair coverings, horse brasses...previous guest ale shields etc. Pub menu. We both had pie (chicken for me steak for him) and the chef wasn't messing. Pr
Tucked Away in Martock friendly staff lovely food car park at back!
Kind and considerate staff in a lovely local pub. They were so accommodating considering we were running late on a day of travel. They had everything ready for us and our baby upon arrival. Food was very nice and came out in good time. Cash preferred but they do accept card transactions.
Had the roast dinner. Very lovely with lots of everything including a really amazing selection of vegetables. Dog friendly, Friendly service
We stopped here for lunch on the way to Cornwall, well worth a slight diversion! Lovely food, location and service - also dog friendly
Lunchtime walk from Coat to the Nags Head pub Martock where we enjoyed our lunches - one sausage and mash, one macaroni cheese and bottle of wine, then delicious puds. Great atmosphere, great food and warm welcome to us and our dog. Really good value. Now planning another trip from home in Cornwa
One of the best Sunday roasts we’ve eaten in a long time. Fantastic landlord, great ale, delicious food all freshly done and great value. Looking forward to returning Thanks Jim&Di
Came here for dinner and a few drinks tonight, was absolutely lovely. The owners were friendly and welcoming, food was fantastic, and Oscar the dog was a welcome friend for the evening. Definitely recommend and wish it was closer to home so I could go again!
Yet another excellent meal in this amazing little gem of a pub!! It was a Sunday roast this time and was more than equal in quantity and quality to what we've experienced before, and yep, we'll keep going back for more, as often as we can!!
Very nice meal and delicious pudding! We were welcomed and looked after by a very pleasant couple of people
Lovely friendly owners, very welcoming, great food.
Lovely little pub with a nice atmosphere, friendly greeting with a genuine smile from the barmaid who made me feel very welcome. Had the whitebait starter followed by the lambs liver and onions, portion of liver could have been a bit more generous but that said, both were superb. I highly recommend
Great pub which took us as a last minute booking on fathers day. Food was lovely, the owners were very welcoming, even though they were very clearly short staffed, and we would love to visit again soon!
Great food, cozy atmosphere, a welcoming and friendly publican. A lovely place to stop for a relaxed meal with good company.
