Ate here post walk with friends. The simple menu belies the excellent quality of the food. A must try if you visit Marsden. The dirty fries, the steak and ale pie, the club sandwich and the sticky toffee pudding were all a delight to the taste buds. Calum the manager is excellent, warm and accommodating. They clearly have a great team which is reflected in the food and atmosphere.

Beautiful place! Well thought out and I'd highly recommend it. I'll be going again. Fit brownies and hot chocolate and they make a mean vegan breakfast wrap. Xx

We agree with the previous positive reviews. This place is excellent and quite unusual. It is effectively a house which has been converted to make use of all the rooms as dining rooms. The food, a take on the Tapas idea, is very tasty and the staff personable and attentive. Prices are reasonable too. The thing which surprised me about previous reviews is that no-one has commented on how dog friendly they are here. We were able to eat in our own dinning room which meant our dogs were off the lead and comfortable, without being an annoyance to any non-dog lovers. They were also welcomed with fabulous dog treats! We have already recommended this bistro to friends who live more locally than we do. Oh and it is really close to both the railway station and the canal boat moorings as it is just a short walk down the hill.

It’s a shame that Charles feels this way as on behalf of myself and the people from Oldham who come to Marsden weekly to eat here, I feel as customers we support the local economy and keep the local people in jobs! Aside from that I have visited the Bistro since they reopened the doors mid pandemic & they have come a long way & have only gotten better! The food, the team & the AMAZING bottomless brunch are incredible & give the village an extra bit of life that it needed! I personally would take Charles’ review with a pinch of salt as it seems he doesn’t know good food & a great atmosphere when he sees it from curtain twitching at his village window.

Wow!! Celebrated my birthday with friends last Saturday and the experience was amazing!! I visited the chef beforehand discussing my gluten, wheat and dairy free requirements and was totally reassured that this will be a night to remember. A private dining experience was planned and to look forward to many surprises due to the celebration. We arrived in awe of the blue room, banners, balloons and the table laid beautifully. The service was impeccable from the beginning to the end, enjoying the tasters along the journey of fine dining, wine reasonably priced and the fixed menu was again unbelievable. The ambience relaxing, team so attentive and pulled out all the stops for such a memorable occasion. This is a little gem of fine dining with the best service you can expect. The chef and team surprised us with so many delights and the finishing touches totally surpassed our expectations in every way. We are coming back to celebrate our silver wedding and can honestly say from the bottom of my heart, best birthday ever and our friends could not believe the experience too. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went on spec but very glad we did. Wonderfully quirky furniture and deco. The food was fabulous and the service was so friendly, unobtrusive, and efficient. First visit but definitely not the last. Five Star and 10 out of 10.
