Wonderful friendly Staff and fantastic food. I would recommend the salt and pepper ribs, duck in plum sauce and the Tibetan garlic lamb. This Chinese by far is the best in the area.
Just had another fantastic meal staff very friendly lovely atmosphere and the food top quality I would thoroughly recommend it

Wow! I was visiting from London and the visit was a spur of the moment decision based on TripAdvisor reports. Got to be honest, I've always thought Chinese restaurants outside London as being much of a muchness.
The Maple Tree is exceptional.. the food was really tasty and huge portions. We had the set menu at £29.50 a head and had to take loads home! Reasonably priced bottle of house white, a large Tsingtao and two double liqueurs to finish - very reasonable £90.
Sunny and his staff are worth the visit alone - lovely, friendly people - I felt like an old friend.

This was my first visit to the Maple tree Sunny.. wow what a fabulous place. The food was lovely, atmosphere was great. Sunny came over to talk to us.. he made us feel very welcome. The lovely lady that served us was very helpful. I will definitely recommend a visit.
Had a fabulous night celebrating my daughters birthday we were well entertained by Sunny and all the staff - the food was beautiful, we even mastered the art of eating with chopsticks - highly recommended !!

After our meal he brought out a birthday cake for my wife that our daughter dropped off for her. He then told us the names and age so all our grandchildren. What a Memory!

Had a lovely evening with friends. The food was fantastic. We really enjoyed the set menu, but could happily have chosen anything from the main menu. It all sounded great. The staff are all relaxed and very friendly, with the owner coming personally to greet us and returning to us several times to check we were enjoying ourselves. Such a lovely family atmosphere. Will definitely be going back.
A great find on the strength of previous reviews. Excellent service and the quality of the food was top drawer. Sunny entertained my daughter, whose birthday it was, with a rendition of 'Happy Birthday to you' on his harmonica. A lovely touch.

Visiting for 1st time 28th Oct 2023 Very warmly greeted. We had the set meal and the food was cooked to perfection and plenty of it as the food just kept arriving on the table.
A good selection of drinks were available. We were a party of 8 plenty of room around the table, nice comfatable atmosphere in the restaurant which was very busy. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, and as for the proprietor what a Really nice person Sunny is. He kept checking to see that everything was ok.
This was our first visit and it most certainly will not be the last.
Hopefully we will be back in December to try more of Sunnys great food. The ribs are really something to be seen and eaten, proper ribs with plenty of meat on them not like you get from your local Chinese chippy. The occasion was Sandra's birthday and Sunny played happy birthday to Sandra on his harmonica while the rest of us sang happy birthday to her. I feel like I have made a new friend in Sunny in making us most welcome, and what a really nice and sincere man he is. An excellent experience all round and I would definitely recommend the Maple Tree Restaurant. It is easy to find on the main street in Marple Bridge.

The best chinese restaurant I've been to. The food was lovely, the portions were quite huge, which I really enjoyed after a long hike! The owner and the stuff are such a lovely people. Definitely I'm gonna be back there one day!

We went here for valentines day, the server was very attentive and spent time getting to know us. He must do this a lot as while we were in there he had clear regular customers come in for both eating in and takeaways. The atmosphere was really nice and relaxed and we didn't feel rushed like some small restaurants can seem. We ordered the fixed menu for 2 and we shared all the food. Great quality food and amazing value for money.

Only ordered a take away but my wife said how lovely they were when she went in to collect, they double checked the order and it was bang on time.
The food was very good indeed, set meal for 2 and I couldnt have enjoyed it more if I wanted.

We just had such a lovely dinner at Maple Tree last night! The owner, Sunny, and all of the other servers couldn’t have been nicer. I’d recommend to anyone craving a delicious flavorful Chinese meal in the Marple area!

Had a fantastic meal here tonight, amazing service and amazing food. We had the mixed starter everything was served hot and fresh, you could tell the spring rolls were hand made and they tasted delicious! The sweet and sour and black bean sauces were great and nice salt and pepper chips to accompany.
Would highly recommend going here if you want Chinese cuisine in the Stockport area!

Food excellent as is Sonny (hope I spelled correctly!). Only marked down one as drinks and food orders been slow recently upon arrival. But can't fault the food or service from the boss. Still favourite spot for Chinese food.
