We were a walk in family of 4 for Sunday Lunch. Decor is very nice, love the log fire and seating at the bar looks very inviting. The restaurant was full so we were given a table in the snug area which was perfect with lots of room even for buggy. Our Waitress was fantastic, very professional, very courteous and was on the ball especially with our Son making sure his food would come out when ready etc. Our starters were excellent - my wife had the Chicken Liver Parfait which we both agreed was one the best we have ever tasted. I had the Fish Soup which was perfect on a cold wet day. My son demolished his Fish Goujons which was a big portion. For mains we both had the pork belly which was so tender and flavorsome. The portion sizes are perfect. We got a few servings of Chocolate Chip ice cream for dessert. Once again my Son devoured his and did we. Overall great food and great staff. We cannot wait to come back here again New Years Eve.

Five of us went for dinner on a Tuesday evening , we tried the sea bass, liver and bacon , pork belly and the vegetarian choice of aubergine All of us really enjoyed all of our main courses with side dishes of cabbage and roast potatoes. Everything we tasted was delicious and presented so well ! We then went on to have dessert of the ginger loaf which I can personally recommend it was so light and was perfect with the butterscotch sauce and ice cream . The staff were also very chatty and friendly . Thank you for such a wonderful evening . We will definitely be recommending and returning again.

if you order the house white wine, note that it is unfiltered, and taste just the same level of loveliness as any other house white wine. We arrived early, and we’re happy to sit in the bar until our table is ready. Our servers were very friendly and joked along with our table mates. Food was well presented, and came out in a timely manner. For such a busy restaurant, food was well presented, and came out in a timely manner. For such a busy restaurant, you might think that something could go amiss, but it is unlikely to happen because the servers are well seasoned and this looks like a shipshape establishment. Portion size is worth the value.

After enjoying a fabulous Sunday lunch at The Oarsman I made a second visit very soon after and had another fanatic meal during the week. First off, the staff are great and very attentive. I had a baby in a pushchair and they gave us a table with lots of space along with a high chair. The food was delicious on both occasions and all my party were delighted with their dishes. While the prices of the dishes may seem a little steep I think the quality and flavour is definitely worth it! I had the chicken leg on the Sunday lunch and bavette steak during the week - both very tasty! Thank you and I can’t wait to visit again soon and try more of the menu! Highly recommend!

I’m still thinking about how good the Gazpacho starter was - brilliant food and lovely waitress. Will be back next time I’m in Marlow!

Had an amazing dinner at the Oarsman last night. As part of their guest chef season they had Henry Harris in the kitchen who turned out some fabulous French food. The service was excellent and the choice of wines was spot on for the food being served. The Oarsman just keeps getting better and I can’t wait to find out who will be the next guest chef to grace their kitchen. I was at the Ben Tish night a few weeks ago which was also excellent. I would recommend keeping an eye on their Instagram account for news of the next event.

What a surprise! Recommended to me by a local. Restaurant was busy for after 9pm on Monday night. Sat in the bar for 2 rounds of not inexpensive but very interesting and excellently executed International small plates/bites. House Merguez sausage was bold with a hot Dijon. Spicy lamb taco on a roti-like tortilla; the guacamole was good but took any heat away from the filling. Empanada pastry was absolutely perfectly tender; impressive it didn’t fall apart! The potatoes weren’t chips but a creative deepfried potato millefeuille stick, like dauphinois without cream. The extremely thin layers crisped up beautifully at the edges. The lamb crispy croquettes packed a lovely cumin punch, but shame the garnish wasn’t a touch more acidic. Really impressive creative approach to some classics; most surprisingly in Marlow. Going back for more of the menu, but the beers could be a little ‘craftier’. Nice, friendly, knowledgeable service. As you can see, it was quite dark!

Food was very good. Generous portions for all dishes, we had one vegetarian dish too that was very substantial. Had a lovely waitress called Savannah who was very attentive and very polite. As we had a vegetarian and non alcoholic noted on the booking she came over and asked us what we were okay with which was very helpful.

What a wonderful restaurant!! Had lunch there on Sunday when they were clearly busy but it was faultless. Great atmosphere, friendly, cheerful and helpful staff, superb food and great wines. Some of the best steak tartare I have had for a long time and probably THE best pork belly I have ever eaten!!! Well done and we'll be back.

Pretty food that tasted yummy. Also received some good wine suggestions from the staff. You know it’s a good place when my avid carnivore, steak loving partner opts for a veggie entree 😊 Photo is of my beetroot tart which I couldn’t get enough of!

We arrived to find there was no record of the booking i made by phone the night before. We were the only guests in the restaurant this lunchtime, The poor chef had to keep calling staff to bring us our food, as they were busy chatting up front. This changed once the boss walked in. Food OK, steak knives blunt. Will give the place another go, maybe they were just having a bad day.

Great location, good service but the restaurant prices are a bit steeper than expected. If you order a snack menu you are not allowed to sit in the restaurant but in the bar lounge!
