Didn't eat here other than for breakfast, which was lovely. I stayed in Room 1 for a night, that's one of the deluxe double rooms, and it really had the wow factor!! It was a beautiful room, everything was top quality, from the bed linen to the complimentary tea and coffee. Cosy throws and sheepskin rug! Lovely free standing bath, and a massive shower- both enjoyed 😊 If you're looking for somewhere right in the shopping heart of the town, this is ideal. I was looking for a boutique hotel experience, and this is exactly what I got! Would highly recommend staying here. A lovely young lady serving breakfast sorted a taxi for me after I'd had no joy myself after that phoning a few firms. Staff couldn't have been nicer.

Fabulous steak and service was very good too even though our waitress had only been there two days. Definitely recommend to others.

The steak was fantastic, although was a little unpleasant to be ushered out of the restaurant at 9pm. Seems a bit early to be shutting up shop to me.

Great steak I had a choice of the cut size and how I wanted it cooked. It came out perfect. The sides were nice as well and one portion of spinach enough for 3 people. Good atmosphere good staff

Food was nice and service was really quick - we took a Sunday Roast with a friend. The Sunday Roast tasted good but isn't the best I've eaten. So I consider it a bit pricey. The only point that I didn't enjoy was that a couple came after us with two dogs and sat just next to us. I'm uncomfortable next to dogs especially when I'm eating. So we had to rush our meal and we decided to eat dessert elsewhere.

We visited The Chequers for Sunday lunch. Nice location and welcoming atmosphere in the pub. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Decent selection of lunches on offer. My father really enjoyed his Cod dish. And our nieces enjoyed their burgers. The Roast beef was well cooked, with good selection of vegetables. Would have liked a little more meat for the £20 though. All in all, a nice lunch, thank you.

Ate dinner tonight and the food really was outstanding. Juicy and tender chicken with plenty of flavour and the burger very similar. Sweet potato and regular fries cooked perfectly. Good service too.

Nestled in the High Street we went for a weekday pub dinner and the steaks were amazing! Cooked to perfection. Server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Would highly recommend the steaks there.

The Chequers has been my go to for the best steak for years. The Chateaubriand is just incredible and always cooked to perfection. Nothing bad to say, and always a pleasure. Keep up the good work!

*Sept 2023* Wonderful service. Sunday roast was nice - gravy could better - less watery. More veg would be welcome. Fab wine selection - merlot was delicious. Pigs in Blankets was nothing special. Treacle pie and panna cotta were delicious. *Nov 2022* Fab steak - ribeye divine! Warm service. I'll be back!

Great Sunday Roast. My only negative point is that there was too much gravy drowning the plate. Surely it is better to have a jug on the side and let the diner pour it on

The Chequers Pub on Marlow Highstreet is a decent place for a drink or some food with friends. Well appointed inside the pub has beers on tap from local breweries such as Brakspear. Staff were polite and friendly. Had a nice pint of Gravity.

Seated quickly by very pleasant staff. Drinks arrived then the order was placed. No rush just the right timings. We chose the fish & chips which when it arrived was super. The batter not too thick & the fish was lovely & moist. All in all a lovely lunch.
