Took my lovely lady to your restaurant on Friday, I had lobster and my lady had the Indonesian curry. She is from Indonesia and stated it tastes so like Home she was extremely pleased. The lobster was also fabulous. Thank you. Great service, excellent food and reasonable prices. Please pass on my thanks to your team. Outstanding

Had 50th birthday here and we all thought the food was amazing, staff and ambience 5 star too. A few of us had the Indonesian fish curry, what a taste, full of lots of different fish. Great evening upstairs for everyone. Will definitely be back again. Thankyou Rick Stein Marlborough.

Dined on Saturday eve. Excellent staff, excellent food, well presented. Indonesian curry best I've ever tasted and not as expensive as you might expect... All in all top eating experience.

I was taken to this restaurant yesterday and I had the best Indonesian fish curry. I am Indonesian and the taste is authentically Indonesian 👍 We didn’t book but the servers were fantastic and very accommodating. I will definitely come back for more.

We enjoyed our outing but didn't feel we got the overall wow factor like we've had on our visits to the Seafood restaurant or the Cafe in Padstow. The front of house staff, whilst kind and attentive (when other customers permitted!), weren't necessarily as fully trained as we have become to expect from the Rick Stein brand when they are working on the floor. One of our starters didn't arrive complete, but unfortunately, the kitchen nor the server noticed. Overall, it was a pleasant afternoon, but we were hoping for more.

When we're seated, we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. I asked for still (wanting tap water) and a bottle arrived. This costs £4.95, but as 12.5% service charge is added £5.57 just for water. Starters were OK, but cheap tomatoes rather than widely available vine tomatoes came with the burrata. I'd had my starter before all the drinks we ordered on arrival had arrived. The battered mackerel was excellent, I am surprised that more restaurants don't serve this. Service was variable, but one young waitress went out of her way to be helpful.

Got the 3 course set menu and it was one of the best food I‘ve had in Wiltshire. The mussels are incredibly fresh, and the cheesecake with homemade raspberry jam is amazing too. Highly recommend it!

Lovely food, if a little basic and unexciting. I appreciate I am a vegan in a fish restaurant, but I was there as part of a larger party. Everyone else was very complementary of their food. The service was fantastic and everyone as really helpful.

A lunch party of 10 most of whom had the set menu. The food was ok for the money but the service was extremely slow and a couple of ladies had to leave before their deserts arrived which was disappointing. The staff were apologetic but apparently the act of chopping strawberries 🍓 was the cause of the delay. Special mention to our server, India, who was extremely helpful while also helping a new member of staff learn the ropes.

Visited for a birthday meal and spoke to manager prior to coming due to dietary restrictions. Service was incredible, Agnes was so accommodating and welcoming. Food was lovely, everyone was very happy with their meals. A surprise chocolate happy birthday plate for the 2 birthdays was so thoughtful and made the whole experience that bit more special. Thank you to all!

Slightly disappointing with the fish options available as the town of Marlborough is effectively land locked, so obtaining freshly caught fish will always pose a challenge. However, The hake that I ordered was very well seasoned and extremely moist. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The cabbage was very flat, under seasoned and overpriced.

I called in for a quiet impromptu dinner on a Sunday evening. I wasn't feeling sociable as it was my Dad's birthday and we were supposed to be there celebrating together but he was sadly no longer around, so I was there simply to honour his memory. The staff were attentive, the atmosphere peaceful and relaxed and the food was delicious, absolutely excellent. Apologies to those who saw my tears. It was a lovely meal and I will be back under happier circumstances.

Not a big fish eater, but had a lovely time at the Rick Stein restaurant in Marlborough. Staff are ridiculously polite and understanding, and not overly in your face. Started out with a tomato and red pepper soup for me, with the other half stuffing his face with Thai fishcakes. Both were delicious! For main I went for the obvious "I'm not really a fish eater, but will have this if there's no burger" option of Fish & Chips. He who must be obeyed had the Mussels... He's a bit more refined then I am! Fish was lovely and juicy with crispy batter that melted in your mouth. Mushy peas, chips and tartare sauce that accompanied were also very good. The mussels, that I am not a fan of, came in an amazing black bean sauce that I would have happily gone home with a bucket of. Dessert... Kind of a problem... Only a small one, though. I ordered Marlborough Pudding, with Birds custard. The Husband had Mexican rice pudding. Both came out and started to tuck in when I noticed the custard was rather stodgy and lumpy... Strange when it comes out of a tin. Mentioned it to the waitress who kindly took it away and moments later brought back another one... It looked as if someone had added milk to the first one, whisked it up and put it in a clean jug... It was now runny and lumpy... I finished the rest of my Pudding - which was superb, may I mention - and left the rest of my custard. We were offered complimentary coffees, which were very much enjoyed. Overall it was an amazing meal. I was dubious as I'm not a fish person, but was duly catered for. Shame about dessert, but please don't let my one experience put you off. If you're a fishy person, or not, give it a try.

Visited today for a special birthday lunch with my Mum and Sister. We were sat upstairs which had such a lovely atmosphere, all the decor is stunning and staff so friendly but not intrusive at all, very professional. Then the food, wow!! Oysters, so fresh and elegant. Mussels were insane, the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back for more of the delicious Champagne! Such a lovely meal and experience, thank you so much. Our lovely server (who’s name I didn’t catch, sorry) was very attentive and made my Mum feel special on her special day. Again, thank you so much we will be back!

This was my first experience of this restaurant, we went there as a group of 13. They placed us upstairs in an area of our own which was great. The servers were very friendly and prompt. We felt welcomed. The food was delicious, not one person had any complaints and everything was eaten. Personally, I had the Burnt Cauliflower, Steak and Chocolate Pave. I enjoyed every bit. The portion sizes were correct and I felt comfortably full at the end. The server even broke down our bills individually with no fuss and delivered them to each of us, such attention was warmly welcomed. I would definitely eat here again.

We had an early dinner here, our second visit in three years to this restaurant. The fish dishes they serve here taste fresh and delicious and the service was particularly pleasant. We were quite early for a dinner, but by the time we finished, the place was filling up, so despite the high prices this seems to be a popular place. It was the price tag of just under £100 for two mains and one desert and one coffee which is the reason I only give four, rather than five stars, as value for money must also be taken into account.

Great food experience. Surrounded by a great team the food is incredible. Obviously you have to be a fish and seafood lover to appreciate this restaurant. You can also enjoy some nice meat. Located in a Grade II listed building, Lloran House makes even more special your visit to this restaurant. You will find different rooms with very nice atmosphere.
