I have been in the UK for more than 20 years now. Being originally from India, I never had a great experience in any Indian cuisine restaurant here in the UK. They all try to bring a weird taste to Indian cuisine thinking that would cater well to British and migrated Asian palate better. But I have to admit that I had an amazing experience and joy when I visited The Zaika Inn at Marlborough last week. The food is simply mind-blowing! You can rarely get this sort of fabulous food even in extremely high-end 5 star hotels and restaurants in India. The taste, presentation and quality of service was exemplary. The menu is so original and food is prepared with fresh, authentic spices. I even had the privilege of talking to the owner and Chef, Mr Biswas. He is such a passionate restaurateur. His love for cooking and serving his customers is easily palpable and that is the USP of The Zaika Inn. I strongly recommend this restaurant to all. If you have not visited this place then you have not tasted 'real' Indian cuisine.

I went with friends for the first time who go there a lot and I must say the presentation of the food was fantastic as were the staff . The food was lovely as was the service as I had wondered as they were very busy . I would certainly recommend to people and would love to be able to go to the one on old town when it opens As well as using for takeaway Well done all of you a little gem of a place

Been going to this Fantastic curry house for a long time now, used the think that the Palm Indian restaurant had the edge but definitely not any more. This place just gets better and better, amazing food, great atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. Going to take something pretty special to make me stop going to Zaikas. Get a table booked and enjoy.

Can't believe it's taken me so long to dine here. Much better food and service than The Palm on the A4!

Group of 8 went last Saturday for supper, we were hungry having been walking all day and the food did not disappoint, it was delicious (and we ordered a lot of it!) The service was slow but the restaurant was full, the food was obviously cooked to order and we weren't in a hurry. Unfortunately we do not live near Marlborough or we would definitely be back! Thank you.

Tiny place you could walk passed it without knowing it was there if you’re not careful (I did) but the food here is stunning! Had to knock on the window of the kitchen and thank the chefs.

Had a takeaway chicken tikka biryani and it was delicious: perfectly spiced and a good vegetable curry.

We arrived close to closing, but they didn't disappoint. Very good sauces with the poppadoms, followed by a delicious curry with all the sides. Only slight negative would have been a slightly oily jalfrezi. Inside the bathroom is clean and you get warm hand towels post meal.

Really good Indian food, very much above average, with friendly service. Located in a historic medieval building, very cosy. Highly recommended.

Always a top class meal here. Although standard offerings (korma, Madras, vindaloo, etc) are available, the menu features a range of unusual and tasty meals. A little bit more expensive than the average Indian restaurant, but certainly well worth it!

I just had a fantastic curry from here. Very tasty, thoroughly recommend this curry house. I worked out the price wrong as normally at home I cook my own rice when ordering an Indian takeaway. I had forgotten to add the rice to my bill when working out the cost. The restaurant were very calm and took the time to go through the bill with me. “How embarrassing” Thank you so much for my excellent curry. I will definitely be back again and will trust your calculations next time! Many thanks, Mark.
