Had such a lovely afternoon with my Mum and her lovely friend. Angeline was so helpful and friendly and all the staff couldn’t have done more. The food was delicious, the desserts were to die for and the scones - props to the baker - they were dreamy!
Would highly recommend a visit and I will definitely be back!

I visited Alexanders today for the first time and would definitely recommend it. The shop is beautifully decorated and their Christmas items are lovely. The restaurant was very busy over lunch but we were warmly greeted and told how the system works with regards to seating which makes absolute sense to ensure people are not left waiting with food purchased and no where to sit. I had my 6 month baby with me and were made to feel very welcome with staff getting highchair to help. The food was gorgeous and staff very friendly. Will definitely be back.
Havent been in ages as last time the food wasnt overly great, but yesterdays was one of the nicest lunches ive had in a while, an the only place ive been that actually had a decent an very comfy high chair for my 8 month old,who seemed to enjoy my lunch an dessert as much as i did

Fabulous Christmas displays and the best way to start Christmas! Always look forward to visiting for excellent food, customer service and another few decorations to add to my collection. Have had breakfasts, lunches and afternoon tea in the restaurant and the food is always fresh and delicious. When visiting with our baby staff were very helpful and made our day out as a family very enjoyable.
Was there at School Half Term with my elderly mother. Was treated with great care and consideration and mum was helped with her walking stick and time taken. Thank you. It was very busy and we'll organised. Friends with a wheelchair were well catered for and we're able to place the chair at a table whilst joining the queue to purchase food.

Just back from afternoon tea. Our food was delicious- yummy sandwiches,sausages,fresh scones and lovely pastries. There was a variety of tea and coffee to choose from which were refilled as we wanted. The staff were friendly and efficient and didn't try to rush us out even though we sat chatting until near closing time. Many thanks for a lovely afternoon!���
It is a great shop lovely wee cafe restaurant for a cup of tea are something to eat if I had a million pound I could spend it all right
Afternoon Tea was excellent. Lovely choice of sandwiches, scones, pastries as well as hot waffles and cocktail sausages. Would highly recommend. Staff were lovely.

Santa’s grotto section for special gifts couldn’t be as good as Alexander’s of Markethill. Highly recommend a visit between Halloween and Christmas. Plenty of ‘smelly stuff’ presented in a special way that will please the lady of the house. Also some lovely presented sweets for the kids and good range of decorations and trees for sale for the men. Great cafe as well upstairs.
Everything here is lovely. They are just redecorating the shop for Christmas at the time of writing so need a return visit to see that all done up. And grab another coffee and scone.

The gift shop is amazing lovely decorated for Christmas different trees and beautiful decorations. Also l9vely 2 floors ground floor kitchenware table ware cups electric applications a few not many and cute gifts second floor gifts stuff and tree decorations at moment the usually use them with interior designs for rooms to show catalogue of what furniture they have to order etc. They have a cafe the food was nice but queues are long. Some of staff in coffee shop weren't that nice not very welcoming they were asking us what we were having before even looked at menu board and food glass fridges. Me mum Dad and sister went so we were looking the member of staff was quite rude shouting at us any hot food only wanted orders for that not for traybakes scones or soda. We looked at scones they had a wooden box with sodabread farl pancake scone etc. Mum wanted scone jam that fine but dad saw soda bread farl we asked for it she sassed us and said they only for buying to take home not eat in coffee shop and she was annoyed because we asked. We hadn't been there in years she expected us to know how things worked. Dad then had have cake but why they had stuff so close to coffee shop lunch food strange. We thought all was to buy to eat for lunch. Staff members was so rude like as if didn't want us in her cafe. Staff didn't remember orders and getting stuff confused. Definitely won't be back for food as staff weren't nice in coffee shop. Doesn't take much to be friendly to customers. Won't be back for cafe
The cafe is beautiful with something for everyone. Christmas is amazing here the upstairs has a theme every year and rooms are sectioned off the various themes.

Visited today amazing live in Markethill for over thirty years first time ive done the christmas theme Amaging its beginning to feel like christmas. Well done resturant busy too. Well worth a visit. Staff are so friendly.
Had lovely lunch in Alexander's today. Prices reasonable. Was busy but served without much of a wait. First time here and would go again when next in the area.

Quite expensive for Christmas items, Lovely displays for Christmas great for a look around and kids would love the singing reindeers this year, Also sell household items all year and gifts from glassware to nice ornaments.
Just beautiful place an food was amazing
Went for a fry and was nearly disappointed until we read the specials more closely and saw that it was called a fancier name. You know the way some restaurants name their dish everything that is in them kind of thing. The streaky bacon was a bit of a surprise 🥓 . There was a lovely chutney with it was well as a massive corner of soda, mushrooms🍄, two sausages and black pudding. We were skeptical at first as it isn't our usual fare, but left fat and happy.
