I was fortunate enough to be the prize winner of a dining experience at Avatar and it was fantastic. The food was gorgeous, with a great varied menu to chose from and the staff were extremely attentive and friendly- they made us feel very special. We have been to Avatar before, with kids, family and friends, as well as visiting as a couple and always found it a first class dining experience.
They warmly welcomed us into the restaurant like old friends and were extremely kind and helpful while we ordered our food. They made sure we knew exactly what we were ordering and made the process very easy for us! Mr KC the owner of restaurants was wonderful as he chatted to us about the restaurant's history and asked us questions about where we came from, he is an absolute gem! Once the food arrived, we dug in and all 6 dishes we ordered were incredibly flavorful and delicious. My 3 friends and I quickly agreed that this was the best Nepalese/Indian restaurant we had ever tried! Later on, Kc himself brought out desserts for us complimentary on the house (seeing as we had waited long to be seated). That, too, was phenomenal. Now, anytime a friend of mine travels to Market Harborough, I promptly suggest that the Avatar dinning, as it is the best Indian dining experience in town! Hats off to Owner KC and co., we can't wait for our next visit!
Friends took me here for a meal Saturday night and on first entering the restaurant it was clearly busy with people waiting for take away and tables but a member of staff greeted us immediately with a warm welcome and a smile. Within a minute we were shown to our table. Staff throughout were prompt and friendly. I would like to take this opportunity to praise the young lady who I believe was fairly new and learning. She was lovely. She smiled throughout, was very polite and friendly and in fact made our evening that little bit more pleasant. Thank you. Considering the place was full the food arrived in good time and hot and all together. No one had to wait for side dish etc. Food was very nice and presented beautifully. I would definitely eat here again when next visiting Market Harborough
I absolutely love this restaurant and my husband and I dine out often here. The service is excellent and the food is delicious.
My only complaint (and this is of no fault of the restaurant at all) is that some of the customers that dine here expect free food for no apparent reason. On the evening of Sunday 10th April, two scruffy looking girls in their late teens complained to the staff about their food being cold. When I saw the waiter walk past with their plates they'd eaten almost ALL the food. Of course it'll get cold by the time you've finished your plate!! D'oh! They were not charged a penny and didn't even have the courtesy to say thank you! Clearly they had no shame!
Despite that, we're looking forward to our next visit!! :-)
Service was prompt and lush food. Had their Special Veg curry with Chicken with some lentils and Pilau rice, of which portions were of a good size. Friends commented on how nice the buffet was and loved the Kheer pudding! Lovely experience. Thanks chaps :-)

I recently dined at Avatar restaurant, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff, setting the tone for the evening. The restaurant had a charming ambiance that made me feel relaxed and comfortable.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything I tried was exceptional. The flavors were exquisite, and each dish was beautifully presented. Whether you’re a fan of classic favorites or adventurous with your palate, Avatar’s menu has something for everyone.
What truly stood out, though, was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and willing to accommodate dietary preferences. They made sure my dining experience was nothing short of perfect.

We order the momo and samosa. Great taste.
For mains, Curry and the butter chicken are very rich and flavorful. Nice combination of herbs and spice. The Garlic naans are also very nice, garlicky and well-baked.
Staffs are super nice and friendly.

We visited for a special family occasion. There was 22 of us and everyone agreed that the food and service was absolutely fabulous! My meal (vegetable karai) tasted so fresh and vibrant. The staff were friendly and accommodating, despite our party being somewhat noisy! Thank you for a great evening
The restaurant is great. From its location to the interior design to the people behind the restaurant. I can see why it has won countless awards. It also helps when food great. Highly recommend it.

Had the best experience at Avatar!! The food was so so nice, the naan and onion bhaji were the best I've ever had. Staff were super helpful and catered to my son's allergies. Very attentive staff and quick service. They even set up birthday decorations for my husband's birthday without us asking!! So nice, will definitely be back. :)

The food is so nice.
I have been here a few times and the food is always great. The service can be patchy, though. On my most recent visit we waited for 90 minutes for our main courses which wasn't great. To be fair they did offer us free drinks but, as we were all driving, we could not take advantage. We'll definitely still be going back, though.

Only downside is that It can get extremely busy with reflects the popularity of the food, but can result in delays in service or delivery.
My wife and I just called in without booking and experienced one of the best Indian meals that we've ever tasted. Specialising in Nepalese food was also a bonus as a lot of very different on the menu. Staff were very helpful and attentive but not over powering making our wedding anniversary a "special memory". This was our first visit to Avatar but we will certainly be returning again. Definitely a meal to remember.
