Staff and service excellent, food really good, and portion huge. Fantastic place to taste chemical free ale, has its own brewery beside it and do tours.

Great pub at Joules Brewery. Extensive outdoor terrace. Good range of beers and lagers at very decent prices.

Having been to Market Drayton before by canal, and being a small town we weren't expecting much change. What a surprise to find this place. What a fantastic Pub/Brewery by Joules. Wonderfully decorated with original features from recovered buildings. Coupled with excellent friendly staff and good quality tasty well priced beers, some brewed on the premises in small batches. This seems to be the model for this brewery featuring in other towns in the Midlands. A must visit, food too. Bonus, we asked about taxis back to our boat, and 2 bar staff kindly gave us a lift. Don't ask for the same favour though, please.

Great beers and nice food. I had roast pork from the Sunday lunch menu. It was very nice. Only thing they could have improved would be to give more gravy as there wasn't enough. But the gravy was very good as well.

The exterior of this place doesn't do justice to the lovely inside. The beer is also as good as you'd expect from a brewery tap, topped off with great food. It's also dog friendly and is a favourite for us to visit on sunny afternoons with Morgan. If you like a good pint then don't drive by.

Came for a Saturday night evening meal with family. I had a pie which was very tasty although it came with spiced red cabbage which was a little weird! A little bit over salted. Others had chicken burgers which were dry and disappointing, came with a mountain of chips and no salad. Delicious authentic ale as expected. The pub was dead and service down at the far end where we sat was lacking, they left us for ages before taking our order and getting the bill, we ended up walking up to the bar to pay.

This pub is at the headquarters of Joules located allongside the brewery, as such the beer is excellent, we had a great meal, all 4 of us having different dishes and they were all super. I believe there are bookable brewery tours as well.

Our cycling group visit The Red Lion each year, starting from Chester. We arrived in 2 groups and service was quick and very friendly. I had the Massaman Curry which was really good. One of my friends had the BBQ pulled pork and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the portion. The rest of the group also were very complimentary about their lunch. We will definitely return next year.

Great atmosphere with their very own brewery joined on across the road. Excellent food and range of drinks with good service to boot. Also good for some historical significance.

Sunday 12th December 21: Another absolutely delicious Sunday roast lunch with this time, our family! It's definitely one of the best Sunday roasts available here in Market Drayton! The chefs, all the staff, the warm, cosy atmosphere and great drinks and ales all brewed here at Joules's Brewery is just amazingly perfect. Thanks again for a fantastic service, food, friendly staff and welcome... YOU ARE ALL STARS...WELL DONE! See you again soon and definitely before Christmas... Tuesday 16th November 2021: Popped in with two boater friends whom had never been to my favourite Inn and Joule's Brewery. A big shout out to Megan, Jake, Natasha, Becca and Emma who served us all throughout the evening with huge smiles and warmth and for looking after me when I stayed a wee bit longer to have something to eat. Had the house Classic burger, with coleslaw and chips and boy was it delicious or what...and went down perfectly! Thanks David and Ashley in the kitchen for a most tasty burger which was much needed definitely!! Sunday 10th October 2021: Reserved ahead a table for 4 of us for the Sunday Roast dinner lunch in the gorgeous panelled dinner area as our boater friends did make it in time for this to happen, just perfect! The staff were absolutely brilliant and so friendly and welcoming from our arrival. We had cards on our table with a set out selection of what was available and what we would like and these were used for the staff to go and plate up for us at the carvery food area. So much better than having to wait in line and go and serve oneself as per normal in other restaurant or pubs we've been to for a Sunday roast dinner lunch, how clever and well thought out....well done Joule's Brewery, Market Drayton!!! The 2/3 courses lunch prices were such excellent value and obviously we had the 3 course option...However, we shared two starters as well as two puddings and it worked out just superb. The two rounds of starters were 8th October 2021: By Joule's, it's good to be back...at last! Still my favourite pub/Brewery on the canal by far and the Chardonnay and my pint/ or three actually of Slumbering Monk Ale was perfection and so welcoming. We popped in for some lunch and decided to have two rounds of the Tender Rump Steak, caramelised onion and hot horseradish Bloomer Loaf sandwiches...wow, absolutely delicious and yummy! What an amazing place and maybe I should keep it a secret and all to ourselves! Thanks to all the chefs and kitchen and A BIG SHOUT OUT to EVE and BECCA especially for making us feel totally at home again, so welcoming and very friendly makes us want to come back always.. We're thinking of bringing our boater friends here for a Sunday Roast Dinner meal if they get to Market Drayton by then or on time... May 2021: One of our favourite pubs come Brewery and the brewery itself is pretty amazing..you can actually see them brewing the Joule's ales through the big glass floor to ceiling windows...the smell is extremely deliciously sweet and hoppy, chocolatey, coffee...yummy!! We've visited every time we've chugged into Market Drayton and the food is fantastic and the drinks as well...especially their own Joule's ales and Green Monkey craft lager. I usually drink the Joule's "Monk" ale and it's a gorgeous, delicious pint and definitely one of the best out there! The staff are very friendly, welcoming and attentive...and the service is top notch, well done to them all. Thanks for such a lovely time Joule's The Red Lion Brewery.. ps. Try their special "sweet potato fries" which are absolutely yummy! These light nibbles go really great with your delicious pint of Joule's ale or fantastic glass of white Chardonnay...

Visited the Red Lion Inn on Sunday 10 November 2019 for a drink of Joules. The Red Lion is an extensive 'Brewery Tap' pub with the Joules Brewery on the left hand side of The Red Lion. The car park is to the rear of the Red Lion through a large modern arch way. The main door is on the left hand side of the Red Lion into a modern extension to the rear of the original building. As you enter the main bar is directly in front of you with several handpulls serving Joules beers. At the time the brewery had just released the winter brew No 6 which is pleasant dark old ale. We had a half of No 6 and sat in the front area of the Red Lion with its real fires and comfortable seating.
