Visited The Buttercross today for Afternoon Tea for Two. £12 each. We changed the choice of tea to coffee. Couldn’t fault it one bit. Large selection of varied sandwiches and cakes. Ended up taking some cakes home which is apparently what usually happens. Staff were very attentive and polite. The ve

Lovely place for an afternoon tea with your dog! Went here with my dog and didn't feel awkward enjoying a solo afternoon tea, they even gave me a treat for my dog. Lovely staff and atmosphere, will be going back for a Sunday roast soon!
What a wonderful place. I took my wife here for breskfast. The service was very good and we were made to feel welcom. The food is very good and I can recomend the Popeye. The poached eggs were perfection and had wonderful golden yolks. The coffee is very good too. Cannot wait to go again.

Lovely spot for a quiet breakfast. Food was great, a nice selection that is well prepared, presented and portioned.
We've just had a lovely late lunch after visiting the floating market on the canal. All the staff were working very hard, with a constant stream of customers and the difficulty of the card machine not working so having to ask customers to use cash for payment. Our sandwiches were delicious, tasty an
This place has gone so upmarket and is amazing at any time of the day. I’ve had drinks (both hot and alcoholic!) and cake there and most recently brunch. I am a fussy one but nothing was too much trouble for the staff and so the perfect late breakfast was served with quality drinks ! Prices are so r
I had an afternoon tea for 2 adults and 1 child. There was plenty of food, it was presented beautifully, very tasty and staff where lovely and accommodating, especially considering I had 2 teething children with me. Also very reasonably priced. Will definately be returning. Thank you.
Really nice food and great service. Very good gluten free options. Thanks
Always worth a visit when we come from Derbyshire to go to our optician in MD. The Buttercross is our goto fave eatery...never disappoints.
A wonderful visit this evening, lovely staff and a warm and welcoming environment. The food...wow! Prepared with finesse and such attention to detail. The most amazing flavour in every dish. Compliments to the chef are simply not enough. Thankyou for sharing your skills and fantastic creations. High
7 of us had a wonderful evening meal here. The food was prepared and presented beautifully; the wine and cocktails were a perfect match. Well done to Luke and the team for giving us a brilliant night.
Met up with extended family here for a Sunday lunch here. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Had a 3 meat roast which was excellent.
We meet friends at the Buttercross in Market Dreadful 😁 because it is halfway. We are a nuisance bunch of customers because we are either vegan or GF. This doesn't seem to cause a problem, the staff are unfailingly helpful and organised. They often suggest alternatives or go and check with the kitch
