Called in today after a walk around Ashley. Lovely food in a lovely cosy pub. Staff were great!
Always great food and good atmosphere
Amazing food, very friendly and traditional country pub. Highly recommend.
Lovely traditional local pub. Nice friendly atmosphere. Efficient and friendly staff. Good choice of meals. The lamb Henry is delicious. Very reasonably priced. Margaret, the owner, organises regular events for the community and raises money for charity. I highly recommend this pub.
Took my daughter and niece to their Santa's grotto, they stage it every year and people from the community volunteer to make it a really nice experience for the children.
This is my favourite place to come for a Sunday dinner. I go for the beef which is always decent. Nice atmosphere, it's a small country pub. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They've got a small selection of beers but there's enough for everyone. The deserts are delicious. And they do amazing home cooked chips.
QUALITY HOME MADE FOOD! I visited at the weekend and had braised steak, chips and veg. It was delicious quality food and a good portion size. I visited again the following day (Sunday) with my partner. I had the roast beef lunch which was again superb and filled me up and I have a big appetite! My partner had home made veggie chilli and chips which she enjoyed. Service is fast and efficient.
To summarise.....the Peel Arms kitchen staff pay attention to detail with the food they serve and that also means attention to quality!!!!!! We recommend the food totally. It's a friendly pub with friendly staff. Only downside...prices are a little HIGHER than Stoke on Trent itself.
Food fresh, veg are perfectly cooked. Good home cooking not expensive. Quality of food overall excellent with friendly service and nice atmosphere. I didn't have dessert because I prefer starter and main. Others enjoyed dessert who were in the party of six. Covid19 protection was adhered to throughout evening and enforced when slipped up.😀
Brilliant old fashioned pub, good choice of home style food, parking excellent joice of beers
Good food, good beer although a dark ale would be better than having 2 pale coloured ones. Staff excellent. The only point against was that a few locals standing at the bar were swearing and bar staff didn't rebuke them. Overall very good.
The food was lovely cooked by the owner. Reasonable prices friendly staff. Will definitely will go again. We had Sunday lunch. Choice of Beef. Lamb or Turkey. Lots of nice vegetables.
An old original sandstone building right by the (quiet) roadside has been extended by a large, bright dining room overlooking a lovely, large garden.
We had lunch on a Sunday and our meals were served quickly and piping hot by very pleasant staff. We chose from the regular menu although there were a choice of three roasted meats available on Sundays.
It was a very enjoyable lunch and we'll be back again another day.
Love this pub such a Friendly atmosphere and welcome Always visit here when I'm here visiting the family..such great homecooked food and the chips Wow
It was a. Very cold night. The log fires were burning , there was a great atmosphere and the home made food was amazing. Well worth a visit plus 3 real ales. Couldn't find any faults.
Margaret cooks like your Mum! Recommended for proper home cooked food!
We both had the braised beef, potatoes and veg,and then shared the desert of chocolate crunch with peppermint custard,it was yum.
Well recommended.
What a brilliant pub. Friendly staff, friendly locals, great food and great beer. We need more pubs like this in our villages. Great social scene and run by a lady who knows how to cook lovely food.
Good traditional pub. Attentive service. Excellent food. Friendly staff. Decent menu range accompanied by a fair range of well kept beers. Enjoyable experience.
