Cannot recommend highly enough, tonight was my first visit. We were politely and quickly welcomed drinks served straight away. Food was delivered within 15 minutes of ordering. As it was tapas night between me and my partner we had 8 different plates. I cannot tell you a single plate o wouldn’t happily order again! We will defiantly be returning
(Vegan set menu) Truly one of the best meals I've ever had, and considering this isn't even close to being a vegan restaurant, that speaks volumes for the level of talent in the kitchen. Every element in each course was perfectly balanced and the brownie for dessert was GORGEOUS. I also had a blueberry gin mojito which I could have necked in one go it was so tasty. Can't wait to be back and see what other vegan creations have been added (sorry if this brings more of us pesky vegans to your door Dan ). Beautiful food and wonderful owners, wish you all the luck in the world for your new business! Xxx
Fabulous lunch today. Highly recommend. Pleasant helpful staff, decor quirky. Look forward to trying an evening meal and they have lots of different gins!!
A lovely independent gem in the heart of Market Drayton! I have visited this restaurant twice now and on both occasions have been thoroughly impressed and loved each meal. The ambience and decor is fantastic. The menu is varied and has a great selection of locally sourced produce. The staff are very attentive and the service is brilliant!
Yet again a fab meal. Booked in for the Tapas Takeover, was not disappointed! sublime food, excellent prices, attentive staff. Dan and his team work hard to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where the food and service are second to none! Toffee vodka and knives before wives are the order of the day! Keep up the good work, we will be back!!!!!
This place is what Market Drayton needs - good english food at a reasonable price.
Food fantastic, service fantastic, food cooked upon order. Defo coming again. nice evening with my wife
Had set price lunch, beautiful food, belly pork was sublime.
Fab decor, friendly and attentive staff. Expertly made espresso martini to finish! Definitely 5 out of 5! Well done Dan and team.
Great service and food, lovely place. Will be returning. Highly recommend.
Had a lovely meal for two with a really nice bottle of Prosecco and some cheeky cocktails. The menus are really well thought out. And the service is very good. I really enjoyed the local blue cheese tart starter and the duck Kiev main. Give it a try because you won’t be disappointed. Well done Town House, Market Drayton needed a restaurant like this.
Amazing food and great service. Highly recommend and can’t wait for my next visit, thank you.
Lovely food, great service and a quirky interior. Will come again and would highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic! There was nothing that we could fault. Food was delicious, service was outstanding - we have never been served by a more attentive person previously, we will struggle to find another like her! Prices reflective of service and food. Portions were ample, in fact - large and I struggled to finish which is a first! As a non drinker I like the fact virgin cocktails are offered and I took advantage of this. The decor is crisp, it’s a clean and welcoming environment. If I could give it 10 I would and highly recommend people to give The Townhouse a try! I have read the other reviews and I hope they are ignored as this place rocks, don’t miss out!
We went for tapas tonight for our daughters 13th birthday. A wonderful meal, delicious food, great service all in a very relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back.
Had a Fab evening in The Townhouse, the food was outstanding. I had duck for starters and halloumi for main served with veg and fries that complimented it perfectly. The service was Brilliant and the lady was very patient with us as we had a rather large party which did make the wait a little longer and sorting payments out at the end a little tricky, but only to be expected. Was a very busy night in the restaurant and a great atmosphere.
Huge thanks to Nathaniel for looking after us.
The food was incredible. Wish we lived closer as there was so much more on the menu we wanted to try
This is a real gem in Market Drayton. Excellent food - fresh, tasty and interesting along with wonderful service. Can't fault it! I have been several times and it never disappoints. I had lunch there with a friend today who had a lot of dietary needs and the guy serving was just so helpful and friendly about it ...then the food that arrived was perfect! And its so reasonably priced too. Please support this local restaurant it's a real asset to the town.
Fantastic food. Full of taste and flavors.
Freshly cooked to order. Great service and very reasonably priced fir the food served.
Best meal I've had out in months, for taste and cost. A must to all food lovers.
Lovely food and quite a varied menu that is changed frequently. Good friendly service too. Cocktail bar upstairs is a hit with the ladies, I had a couple too. A great night out.
Fantastic takeaway lunch today from the Town House. Super tasty burgers and fries and the best quality. Little side pots of nachos and cheese were a winner. Highly recommend for an end of week treat working from home !
Had a three course lunch here and every single thing on each plate was absolutely delicious. Overall wonderful place - beautiful decor, lovely relaxed ambiance and could not fault the service. Will have to return! ♥
We had a very enjoyable evening here tonight.
*No-rush* pre-dinner cocktails, patient waiting staff giving us all the time we need, and an excellent selection from the food (and cocktail) menus.
Fantastic.
Just had the most delicious meal at the Town House. Market Drayton is so lucky to have this amazing, independent, chef owned restaurant. The French onion rostis on the snack menu were so delicious and as always the vegetarian meal I had, the carrot and feta tarte tatin with tomato tapenade, was inspired. Of course there are also the irresistible cocktails upstairs. If you've never been you don't know what you're missing.
Lovely place, with good food. We have been quite a few times before but are last visit was a little bit of a let down due to the seating. We were placed in a booth by the door. It sounds cosy but sadly there wasn’t a single cushion on the bench, you can’t move the table which meant you had to sit at the edge of the bench slumped to eat your food. Great if your boozing.
All it needs is a bit of a winder table, the restaurant is good and has a lovely menu that changes regularly. Just try to avoid the booth seating.
First time visiting the Town House and it won't be our last. The room was relaxed, the manager was extremely helpful, great to chat with but not in your face. We had a 3 course meal with wine, and the food was really well flavoured and and our fish and steak were cooked and seasoned just right - you could tell the chef really knows his stuff. Dessert (parkin) was amazing. Thanks for a great evening.
An absolute gem of a restaurant in the heart of Market Drayton. The most enjoyable shoulder of lamb I've ever eaten! Thank you for the great service too. 😍
We had dinner in The Town House last week and really enjoyed everything!
The menu has a huge variety of traditional and non-traditional dishes which makes it interesting.
The portions were reasonable sized (I don't like too big dishes that then I cannot enjoy dessert as it deserves, but dishes were not too small either, just fine for me). The Yorkshire parking was (too?) big, that seemed to be shared :-)
We really want to go back, it's actually so good that it's worth even to take a detour to eat there.
Thanks for the amazing food and good service!
We decided to dine here based of all things on a negative review! It was quite clear that the review was from someone who didn’t understand what type of steak they were ordering and how you should have it.
The owner gave a great response and I decided I had to come here and try the flat iron steak, which was delicious!
Portion sizes were just right, we chose the steak and the salmon. To follow we had the chocolate fondant (14 minute wait for a perfect goo!) and a chocolate sundae ( home made ice cream).
All in all, good value, nice setting and friendly staff.
We’ll definitely go back.
Good service, beautifully presented and very tasty food. Loved it.
Great food. The staff are really helpful and friendly.
Best meal I've had since last time I went 😄. Nice starter, delicious haddock and lovely crumble dessert. Good cold beer too. £5 less than other restaurants 7 miles away. -Bonus is , no stress, fuel cost (saved £4.50), no wear n tear or time wasted. Try it.
Got some great cocktails from 'The Living Room' upstairs from the restaurant. Had been to the Libertine in Shrewsbury earlier in the day, and these drinks were of the same high standard. Great quirky decor as well. Thoroughly recommend!
