Loved this place, was recommended by Google as a good place for brunch and great coffee. Went on a Tuesday morning and it was quiet, the staff were nice and friendly.
The food was outstanding, simple, delicious and tasted fresh. The nduja fried eggs, omg, the eggs were fried to perfection with a runny yolk. The nduja bought spice and flavour.
My boyfriend fried the ham hock toastie with homemade ketchup. He said the cheese was perfect and melted, with a great cheese pull.
The coffee was robust, smooth and very well made.
A gem of a cafe, nestling at the top of Cliftonville hill overlooking the Lido and estuary. Fantastic choice of coffees and wonderful food. Great place for a meal or a quick coffee break
We had scrambled egg, portobello mushrooms, mushroom gravy, sourdough. The food was amazing. Fresh ingredients, soft and fluffy scrambled eggs, and sourdough soaking up the sauce are just a perfect balance! Oat latte was good as well.
Chill vibe overlooking the sea and friendly staff. Quite busy on a weekend, but quick turnaround as well.
10/10 food and coffee, maybe one of the best I’ve ever had. Been to a bunch of “elevated breakfast” establishments but this is really, really elite. If you’re visiting you gotta go! If you’re local, why haven’t you been yet?

Whilst visiting Margate earlier got caught in a heavy downpour and found shelter at this excellent coffee shop. Great coffee, extensive selection of teas, Very good cake, Great service, nice simple & stylish deco, very friendly staff.
Highly recommended!

Good stuff at Forts, quick, relaxed and tasty grub, with a fantastic atmosphere. Definitely give it a go, it may become your favourite local.
Good coffee. Delicious food. Went twice in the same weekend visiting Margate. Really great atmosphere too.
Visited here when on a holiday in Margate. Absolutely perfect food, and lovely atmosphere. Was quite busy when we first arrived, but seems that they have a fairly quick turnaround for brunch, so thinned out towards the end of us being there. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I'm not the biggest fan of coffee, but my partner had the mocha and absolutely loved it. Could not speak more highly of this fantastic little place 💖
I went by chance with my mates and what an amazing discovery! I cannot recommend it enough. The quality of the food is superlative. So if you are visiting Margate it definitely woth a visit.
My friend who’s a local brought me here. Absolutely amazing. The food was so good, coffee too. I’ll have to come back and try more next time I’m in town!
