Had a brilliant evening here on their Halloween themed Quiz Night. The service from the bar staff was excellent, the seating well laid out and some nice ale on sale. The quiz was first class, with some additional games thrown in for fun. It's certainly a venue we will be returning to. 😀 😄😄

We love the George and Heart after staying many times. Unique boutique rooms, beautiful old building renovated with such chic taste. The pub and restaurant are served fantastically by attentive, vibrant staff. The food menu is varied and you can pick up different food options from the regular kitchen menu or the caravan pop ups. Would highly recommend a visit here in the fabulous old town of Margate

We had a meal at the George and Heart on Saturday. It was so good. And the service was exception. If there were six stars, I would have given that extra star. Attentive, and so well informed, all ingredients known, flavours, advice. The lot. Thoroughly enjoyable evening. Highly recommended.

Had the pleasure of staying here last weekend and I must say it was perfect! From the welcome we had when we arrived to the farewell when we left I felt like i’d stayed with old friends . Such a nice atmosphere we stayed in the smallest room which was fine and very comfortable- loved the quirky way it has been furnished without loosing any of its old worldly charm x Breakfast was just enough to start the day …. We would come back in a heartbeat thank you to all the staff for such a wonderful experience xx

What a great find just a stones throw from the heart of old town Margate. Lovely pub with really attentive staff. Pub is done up very nicely inside and the outdoor space is excellent it even has an outdoor area which serves food and drink so you don’t need to go inside. Drinks are reasonably priced and the food is very good. They had sold out of Sunday dinners - which looked amazing, so we went with the lady owners recommendation of these 3 cheese, bacon and spicy sauce flatbread dishes - OMG they were delicious 😋😋. Definitely going to go back there the next time we are in Margate and will book a table to ensure I get my roast next time. It’s a keeper this one !!

We had a great meal here with good value for a pub. The food was excellent though there wasn’t fish and chips and there weren’t many vegetarian options that weren’t vegan. Good and friendly service.

The best lunch in Margate by far!! Super tasty healthy brunch, best smoothie and wholesome feast, really lovely service, gorgeous outside setting away from the beach crowds. Highly recommend the cocktails too.

(Review for the pub, not the rooms) We arrived late on a Wednesday evening. The pub had a great atmosphere, both inside and outside, and a nice beer selection. Would definitely come back.

Outstanding Sunday lunch. Probably one of the best Sunday lunches I've had in England. Very high quality produce with fresh and clean flavours. The serving are enough to keep you full for the next few days. The staff are friendly and hospitable. Really hard working. Finally compliment to the kitchen staff.

What! 5 stars for a pub with no beer that I really like (most ales and some lagers by the way but not anything approaching IPA 🤮)! Yes, I think it really deserves 5 stars despite this handicap. Lovely beer garden out back and pretty good in front as well. Inside is exactly what a proper pub should be. Sunday lunch was excellent -i had roast lamb and can highly recommend and the other 6 in my group also very happy with their food. The cheese cake was fantastic (vegan, and as good as any dairy version I've eaten) creme brulé was also mega. But the thing that stood out to me were the staff who were attentive and professional but also so very friendly and relaxed and just really likable. I assume the owner or manager deserve credit for creating an atmosphere that results in such good people working there. With regards to the beer, I think there was only one cask bitter and I found it too much like an IPA (maybe it actually was and I was misadvised). So I drank North Down larger. A teeny bit hoppyer than I like and the faint whiff of my nemesis the IPA , nonetheless actually very nice and I can happily drink multiples.

Love this pub. Friendly staff. Good beers and a delightful garden out back. The roasts on a Sunday are pretty special. What’s not to like.

This place has tons of character and wonderful hotel guest-only spaces separate from the pub. You can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into the design. The location is fantastic, moments from the action but a couple of streets back from the noise. The freshly-cooked breakfast pastries were amazing. One night we had a lot of noise from the room below ours who hosted a party from 1am to 3am and ignored our requests to turn off the music - but the staff member we texted on the out-of-hours number was able to sort them out immediately, so thank you to them. It is an old building and noise travels. The only thing I would change is the loo situation. Our room, Home Alone with Mrs Jones, was billed as having a 'private WC outside the room', but the loo was one of three in a partitioned bathroom, with names written on each one's door. Although it had no handwashing facilities, ours was the only one with a window and we were clearly not the only ones using it. It might be nice to put locks on these so everyone uses their own. If you feel strongly about it, my advice would be to book a room with its own loo.

AMAZING pub for food and drink, possibly the best Sunday lunch experience I've had! The welcome is super friendly when you enter (book ahead!) and the rest of our visit was just brilliant. The pub is super cute, friendly vibes has an almost homely feeling. The Sunday menu has limited mains with a selection of starters and a few deserts. Nice that there was a decent vegan option...apparently it was the best vegan roast my sister has had. The beef was delicious, everything was cooked to perfection and decent portion sizes. I didn't want it to end. We loved the food so much we decided to try desert. The chocolate orange cheesecake is divine and the crumble (vegan option available also) was OMG so good. The whole meal was good value considering how bloody delicious it was. I wish I lived closer and this was my local as I'd never want to leave.

Loved our Saturday night meal in the George and Heart dining room. Great vibe, cosy, good music, staff were friendly and on the ball, and the food was amazing. Really interesting food, the starters in particular were very imaginative and the miso aubergine main was so good. Loved the use of seasonal foraged herbs in the gnocchi. Good mix of veggie, vegan and meat options, and all food well presented and tasty. Highly recommended.
