Good for beer and location. However the breakfast was cold only the hash brown and sausage had any heat. Will go to local cafe next time and pay a bit more for a warm breakfast.:(Decided to give it another try and went back the next day and had a muffin deal and everything was great so added a star back in๐Ÿ‘

One of the better weatherspoons I have been to and go back quite regular. The only 3 things that let it down are the infrequency of the toilet checks (they are often flooded), the fact that the staff do not always clear the table for a long time (sometimes up to 30 mins after someone leaves), and also the female staff seem to be on their phones all the time so getting their attention is very difficult. On a positive note there is one young lad who works waiting tables who is on top of his job and goes around the place like a rocket. The rest of the staff would do good to be more like him. Will try catch his name next time.

I am very impressed with the staff and management at the mechanical elephant. I recently spent a week in Margate and visited the pub daily. Even when the pub was rammed due to the UB40 concert, the staff held their own and succeeded in serving everyone in a reasonable time. I'll be visiting next week again. Best wishes

Good spoons. Food was lovely. Service was quick and friendly. I left my keys at my table and on of the staff picked them up for me to collect later. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™

The food was delicious as always, great portion sizes and good value for money. It was a rather busy day, so we cleared a table to sit down but then moved as soon as we got the chance as the table behind us was being EXTREMELY loud. Once they left, it was an enjoyable atmosphere.

Had toast and butter, the toast was stone cold, it had no colour to it..it was like they put the bread in the toaster to scare it and took it out quick. Plus the 2 slices of toast were big so the little butter pack you get didn't even cover have the toast. Shame as I was looking for to my toast before travelling to Victoria Coach Station with National Express that ended up being a Clarks Coach !

What can you say? Wetherpoons, cheap and cheerful as ever. Sadly, post-covid the meals have shrunk...wouldn't hurt to add more chips to stop my steak looking lost! Good staff and the usual cheap drinks and the 'bottomless' coffees/teas always a winner!
