Went therr for Sunday lunch today Feb 4th 2018. We were looking for vegan options in Margate and found this little place tucked away in New street. Have never been there before...and now found will definately be going back! Went as two vegans (one gluten sensitive) and a meat eater and i have to say we all left happy. The warm polenta slice for desert was utterly amazing, and everything is homemade. The resturant is quirky and is a bit of a trip back in time which was lovely as so many places these days are bombarding and same ole same ole. We were welcomed with huge smiles and warmth. If you want an experience and great hearty healthy food. Go!

Just had one of the most amazing meals here. Pies to die for and the best freshly cooked veg. Prices are incredibly cheap too. Will definately be regulars. Looking forwatd to working our way through the menu. Fantastically quirky little place and very friendly, welcoming owner.

Just tried my first pie from the ministry. Now I am quite partial to a good chunky short crust meat pie, but this vegan Kashmiri gluten free pie is not simply about intolerance and alergy issues, its genuinely delicious food in its own right, and that has been a big nut to crack for many a chef. Really impressed and many thanks Garry

Delicious food at a very reasonable price! Plus really hospitable service. The pies are excellent and the veg and gravy that come with them are amazing - I'd definitely recommend it!

Well, I don't know how he does it, but Gary manages to serve meals that are both full of unusual flavours, yet somehow also make you feel that you've just had a plate of traditional British comfort food! There are plenty of veggie and vegan choices (although dyed in the wool carnivores are well catered for too). Everything is gluten free, and because everything is made from scratch, you can be sure of exactly what's in your food, so if you have an ingredient that you need to avoid, there's no problem. Quirky decor, great vibe and definitely one of a kind. We'll be back!

What a gem of a place & what a lovely warm welcome too. Gary the proprietor, is a one off, a hard working genuinely kind person who is in it for all the right reasons. If you're following a gluten free diet, vegan & hungry, you'll be happy here.

What an amazing place ! My friend took us here last night and we loved it, the roast was wonderful, I had a mixture of meats, all were cooked to perfection as were the potatoes and Yorkshire pub and the vegetables were great as they only get cooked once you have ordered so they are fresh, but I tried some of the smoked chicken pie and it was out of this world ! The chicken has a great flavour and is smoked every couple of days by the owner and the pastry is fabulously crisp and yummy.I am going o try and pop in and take one or two back to london for dinner tonight !

We popped in yesterday after attending Hipsville, two of us had the breakfast pie and our vegetarian friend opted for the spicy vegan filling. Pastry to die for with tons of top quality filling, Gary and his partner offered us a summer surprise drink with melons and wine and made us really welcome. Only wish I'd brought a box back with me, lovely alternative venue and beautiful affordable food see you next time x

One of the most unique places i have eaten at in Margate. The owner is a great guy and is very passionate about what he does. I really enjoyed my Meat Extreme pie which was an eclectic mix of cuts in a punchy sauce. It's great to have a gluten free option in Margate even if it isn't quite the same as your ordinary pie crust. All reasonably priced and BYO which makes it a great value place for a meal. And the hot sauce is amazing.
