Very tasty meal, staff very friendly and helpful. Can't fault the food and although the red wine I had was a nice wine when I got to the last mouthful I ended up with a mouthful of cork. When I told the staff member he reimbursed the money for it and apologised. Wasn't anyone's fault just a bit of a shock to have lumps in your mouth unexpectedly. 🤦♀️ other then that was a very lovely experience and will be returning.

Hello, today myself and my other 7 guests enjoyed delicious food with exceptional service. Eileen was a delight to talk to, very friendly and amazing service. Our waitress Josie was a wonderful host, provided great service and she is a positive and blessed individual. All the staff are great and very welcoming, great atmosphere and outstanding value for money. We will be back again soon 😀

Had a steak sizzler and my friend had the gammon. We could not get over the size of the portions. They were amazing and tasted delicious. The presentation of the meal made you hungry just by looking at it. Will definitely recommend this restaurant/pub and will definitely go again

Popped in for some lunch today and went for the Mac and cheese. Was really nice but was a bit miffed to why they charged £1.50 for 2 very small bits of what is advertised as garlic bread

We come here a fair bit and last few times we have had good experiences. The most recent one we went here for a meal as it was my wife's birthday meal with family. We took her parents who had never been before and they also very much enjoyed it. The staff were great the food came out very quickly and was pipping hot. We had puddings too. Only thing I dislike is the whole restaurant is well overdue a revamp

Will never return. Three of us had a meal here. Received our meals which were not as described as we had corn on the cob instead of coleslaw, no nacho cheese on our burgers and no bbq sauce. One of the meals had Luke warm chips and burger. The waitress said they had been very busy that day and we should have been told at the point of ordering that we would have corn on the cob. The next table that had their food had coleslaw and bbq sauce bought to them. We pointed this out then we had them bought out by another waitress. The first waitress had lied but was very defensive when we said and was very stroppy. A completely ruined meal.

I wanted chicken on a skewer they had none the reason was the weather. So had roasted chicken breast it was awful looked deathly white. I was also to get a salad with oil and vinegar dressing and corn on the cob I got a salad full of some sloppy dressing and chips! I sent the plate back 3 times only to be told there was no oil and vinegar dressing. But they have vinegar for fish and chips so why no oil??? Also the corn on he cob wasn't fit to serve I asked them to remove it and they brought me another one which was just as disgusting a d I told them to take it away. This now totally put me off my meal. The staff were pleasant and wanted to know if hey could bring me anything else but I said what I originally wanted you don't have. Also I have food allergies so I checked the menu online before I went. This was my first and last time that I will ever go here. They didn't even bother to offer any sort of refund or compensation for a disgusting meal. Thank goodness my partners meal was okay although they got his order wrong too!

Myself and my wife both had chicken on a skewer and it was most definitely under cooked. When we complained we were told they buy them in already cooked and just heat them up in the microwave. They didn't offer any alternative so we just had to put up with it. The meal came with a handful of chips. The restaurant was filthy and there was food all over the floor. Would not recommend eating there unless you are wanting food poisoning.

Still haven't eaten yet but if I based my feedback on the deputy manageress/assistant alone this place doesn't even deserve a star. To be grumpy, huffy and moan about your customers actually ordering is ridiculous. Didn't deal with anything in a positive fashion, everything was negative and if we weren't starving after enjoying a lovely morning on the beach we would of gone elsewhere. Was told she was being rude to a number of people and not once apologised.
Also main mens toilet out of order, toilet near pool table vandalised and covered in grafitti. How does the manager think the standards of service let alone this is acceptable. I am so hungry!!!

Absolutely terrible service from start to finish ....tables filthy,covered in food and condiments, asked numerous times for it to be cleared, we cleaned it ourselves ...waited an hour for food that turned up cold not what we had all ordered and then waited 10 mins ..after asking ..for cutlery. The answer we got when complaining was ...we are very busy...I would say it was probably only a quarter full!....we then sat among the numerous other tables that were as dirty with staff walking past and ignoring It!

I had a great evening. The burgers were lovely. The food came very quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Therefore, excellent food, good prices and fantastic staff.

Absolutely disgusted with the customer service of this place. Very rude unhelpful staff & management with absolutely no idea on how to run a business.
Much of he menu wasn't available to order but people didn't find out until after queuing & ordering, which means returning to the table to find out what the table would like as a replacement. This happened 3 times! With no signs of an apology!!
Needless to say after the lack of menu & rude staff I opted for a refund and to take our business elsewhere.
Best decision of the day!
A very disappointing experience at a sorry excuse for a restaurant.

Took my boyfriend for his birthday dinner, he Got no cheese in cheese and bacon burger and got about 15/20 chips my chicken burger was over cooked chips where on the cold side paid for chilli sauce never got it and cokes where flat, we also asked for colour set for out son and never got it. not to inpressed

As a frequent user of the Wheatsheaf a party of 15 went today for our grandsons Birthday . The food was probably the worst I have ever had and portion size was a lot smaller when we complained we were told the food was ok and always like that New supplier smaller portions what's happening normally enjoy the food

Terrible service ,arrived to find a table covered in previous diners debris,asked three times for table to be cleared , ended up doing it ourselves , waited 50 mins for food then had to wait as twice promised cutlery that didn’t arrive ended up asking at the bar staff , some of the meals were not as we had ordered but by then we were to hungry to argue!

Popped in for a quick drink & a bite to eat lunchtime as we were passing, no coffee (coffee machine broken!) no beer (barrel needs changing!) No receipt (machine run out of paper!)

Would give no stars if I could! Tables were sticky and dirty, floor was dirty, poor service and even worse food. Only came for a quick meal before the cinema and didn’t expect much considering prices but also didn’t expect to have what looked like a defrosted ready meal roast shoved in front of me and a half cooked sausage for a 3 year old. Also no colouring offered for children anymore just grab machines to get more money out of you. Vile, vile place, avoid at all costs!!
