I have eaten twice at Cafe Darcy since it’s opened. A Sunday roast and yesterday the Mothering Sunday lunch.
Both meals were superb. Yesterday’s slow roasted rump of lamb cooked to perfection just melted in your mouth.
The decor is retro, nicely done and very clean. There are comfy chairs in the window where you can just have a coffee and just watch the world go by. A snug if you want a bit more privacy. The main part of the cafe is nicely laid out with wooden tables and chairs.
The staff very smart and professional and the cafe has a friendly relaxed feel about it.
I can highly recommend and will definitely be back. Will try one of their breakfasts next time.

Had breakfast here today for Mother’s Day, it was fab and being gluten free was great to be able to eat a proper fry up! Definitely coming back here to try lunch
Myself and my partner had a really relaxing lovely lunch here the food was of really good quality and good value for money. Lovely decor throughout. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely lunch here yesterday, girls serving were very polite and helpful. Food was lovely and they provided a dairy free snack for the baby too. Will definitely come here again x
Amazing food and amazing service! We had Pancakes, bacon and scrambled egg and it was amazing, and it filled us up for the rest of the morning! Portion size was brilliant and price is brilliant... we will definitely be going back!

I was visiting Margate for the weekend and had breakfast at the cafe. Staff were friendly, the ambiance is lovely but the toilet is a bit left behind, it could use a good cleaning. The food was amazing for a fair price except for the toast underneath the egg that was a bit greasy so I couldn’t really eat it - but the other one was the best i’ve ever had! I would definitely come back if visiting Margate again.
Proper breakfast made with love, strong wifi if you need it, nice music, incredibly kind staff, great atmosphere! I visited for lunch a year and a half ago, so happy to be back🫶🏼
Decent food, table service, clean, friendly spacious. My only complaint would be the cook doesn't seem to bother wiping the grill often enough, so the bacon comes with small pools of blackened fat

Easygoing cafe with gluten free toasties and jacket potatoes.
Edit: came back again today and had another lovely bite to eat. Hash browns and chips are cooked in a separate gf fryer and staff all seem really well informed on allergies.

What a great find! Breakfast in Cafe Darcy was just what we needed. Eggs Benedict with Salmon, for me and Bacon for hubby. Lovely poached eggs and satisfyingly thick hollandaise sauce, good portion of salmon, washed down
with a big mug of tea. All for less than £8 each. Nice start to our visit to Margate.

Had a Monterey Jack cheese burger and a caramel waffle with banana. The food was good, the ingredients however were quite cheap. However, the atmosphere of the restaurant and the assembly of the food and the plate made up for it. I'd recommend if you're new to the area, as I also was.
You can't knock on the food. It was tasty, and there was large for the price. You are looking for somewhere to get a great meal, then head here
Table service (Saturday lunch time) Staff were patient, polite & helpful, the food was very nice & reasonably priced, definitely will eat here again.

A proper old-fashioned "greasy spoon". Hasn't been fancified, prettified, or tarted up; it doesn't need to be. It sells good grub at good prices, in a cosy atmosphere. Lovely staff, smashing mashed potatoes (always a good test).
One of the best places in Thanet to go for a breakfast. The best in Margate itself. Fantastic cozy family atmosphere with friendly staff. Lovely food .
