Reviews Shutters At The Godolphin

We booked into Shutters at The Godolphin for afternoon tea whilst we were in the area on holiday. The restaurant has an amazing view and even on a slightly wet day with the doors closed, the panoramic sea view was lovely. Inside a lot of thought and investment has obviously gone into the design and style of the space and it’s a nice place to be. It’s brilliant that they are both child and dog friendly, and meant we could be willing customers. The afternoon team came with a good selection of savoury and sweet treats that we all enjoyed. It all comes at a above average price, but just occasionally it’s worth it for something a little bit special.

Beautiful food with friendly and knowledgeable staff who couldn’t do enough to please. The Godolphin has some of the finest views in Cornwall, so worth trying to get a window seat if possible. There is a substantial kids menu which is made with the same high quality, local ingredients and crafted with the same care as the main menu. If you are looking for a memorable meal or just to nip in for a drink, it is worth a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Great views across Marazion beach towards St Michael's Mount. Calm atmosphere and lovely staff. We had some cream teas for my parents wedding anniversary to share which were nice. The place is clean and also dog friendly if you want to take your furry friends.

This is one of my favourite places for breakfast. The view from the restaurant overlooks St. Michael’s Mount and is absolutely stunning, and the breakfast food here is incredible - it’s on the pricier side but the portion sizes are rather big. We had the full Cornish and the pancakes, and they were delicious and kept us full until a late dinner. The service was also outstanding.

Strategically located right next to St Michael's mount, this restaurant serves dishes all locally sourced from the area. Their scallops and salmon are gorgeous! Their tartare sauce could do with a bit more seasoning. All in all, a good birthday meal.

Love this place. Book in advance and try to get a table overlooking st Michael’s mount. It’s especially great as the tide is coming in/out as you get to see the causeway slowly disappearing. Quite expensive (£125 for the 3 of us, and one of those was a child’s meal), but worth it.

Haven't been here for a long time as I thought the new owners had turned it into mostly a fish menu (not everyone loves fish). I thought the Forest Fungi and the Guinea Fowl were very nice but especially the sauces they were cooked in, wonderful! 👍 Our server couldn't have been more helpful to us an grandkids, they even made me cocktails that weren't on the menu. Will be back again soon with a friend.
