Fantastic food. They have a specials board and are so passionate about their food. They were so good at catering to allergies, I didn't feel that anything was compromised on. The fillet was perfectly cooked and after we retired to the sofas to enjoy another pint. We will definitely be back.
Lovely old fashioned pub in very tranquil surroundings. The food is incredible, with some amazing choices. I had the fillet of beef for a main course and the taste is to die for. If you have not been here, definitely give it a try, I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic food! Chef knows what medium rare is, cuts of meat are full of flavour and are cooked to perfection. Was almost a shame to eat a work of art! The chef clearly loves his work and it shows in the quality of food that he serves.

Really good food, special atmosphere where the owner reads the menu and answers any and all questions. We had a large party of about 23 people and all were extremely happy with dinner.

Great tasting food with engaging staff and a friend-of-the-family atmosphere. The venison was so tender and flavoursome, and a lovely dish to follow the wild boar gnocchi which was gobbled up by all. Definitely worth going back to!
Lovely cosy pub with a fireplace. The waitress was amazing - she was very friendly, attentive and gave us a lovely experience! Menu is only on the chalkboards as it changes regularly. Food was good but not quite sure it was worth the expensive price tag. Mains alone were about £30 each.

We were made so welcome on arrival, and the landlord went through the menu with passion and knowledge. Extremely nice place. Very pricey, but I must say, they definitely deliver on the quality. £35+ for a good main dish, but it was the best meat I've ever had, and cooked to perfection! If you can afford to go, most definitely do so!
This place not only produces srsly tasty meals, the fabulous family running it know how to adapt things for food allergies and intolerances too. Dairy allergy? egg intolerance? Gluten free?
