Fantastic place for our daughters and fiancee engagement party. Good service, great prices for drinks and lovely staff. A lovely night was had by everyone. They sorted a get DJ out for us which I would recommend, we was able to bring our own food, and we dropped off the decorations in the afternoon which they arranged beautifully. First time back here for a while and we really enjoyed the food. They have various deals on depending on the day you go but we took advantage of 2 meals for £13.75. There was a good choice overall on the menu and although there was a longish wait for our food to come out it was worth it.. The staff member who served us was really helpful and friendly and made us feel really welcome. Would definitely recommend.
I'm absolutely loving my first time visiting the Black Bull and I can't wait to go back again :D! Lovely welcoming bar staff , beautifully decorated and very warm welcoming atmosphere! Smoking area in the back garden was great for me ! Gorgeous dog friendly and got to play a game of catch ♥
There was no sirloin steak available, waited 40mins only to be told they hadn't got the 2nd meal we ordered. The meals arrived after 1 hour of ordering and the rump steak was mostly fat and wasn't eaten, waste of money. Staff looked unhappy with no sense of urgency.
Came in for a quick pint and a quick bit of food. Customer service was amazing, and all staff has a lovely smile on their face. Our food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Will definitely be coming back :)
Really nice and warm place. Little bit old fashioned but it's an advantage. Very kind crew and owners. Full english breakfasts were really tasty!
My partner organised a surprise meal here. These guys went above and beyond & made my day. Thankyou to all the staff, the chef and the amazing regulars youve got there! Will be returning and recommending to everyone!!
We had the most amazing perfectly cooked meal Hunters chicken and a Mega mixed grill. The Guinness extra cold was also spot on. Staff polite and friendly. Lovely clean place throughout.
Had food here a few times the staff are always happy to help, however we have eaten here tonight 18th May 2022 I ordered a surf and turf and have to say this is by far the best pub meal I have had for as long as I remember .. the steak was perfectly cooked the scampi was amazing the whole meal was deffo a ten out of ten … thanks to Lauren the chef that was cooking on her own tonight this meal was something special…thank you 👌

Lovely food , lovely staff , never been before so was pleasantly surprised
Family of 5 with wheelchairs and push bikes, the manager provided a spot for the bikes on the back and the wheelchair had good access. Over all the diners were fantastic, the service we had was very very good, all staff very friendly. I would rate the black bull for 5+ for cleanliness, thanks will come again for sure.
Not eaten here recently but still a lovely place to go for a drink xx lovely atmosphere xx totally recommend xx if you want a proper pub.... !! Xx

Food is brilliant, perfectly cooked and came out within a timely manner.
We have visited on a couple of occasions recently and enjoyed it both times!
The world cup had a brilliant atmosphere .
All staff attentive and friendly. Nothings to much trouble.
Nice spaces for private parties/meals with a minimal deposit to pay.
Would definately recommend.
Just needs somewhere for the kids to play. (my daughter loved the toy box at the private party however)

THERE'S A CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA HIDDEN OUT THE BACK! And a little summer garden area! We missed it first time we visited. The food was just as delicious second time round too!

We have never had a bad meal when visiting. We came today for Sunday Lunch and have got to praise Lauren, the dinner was absolutely delicious definitely worth the money! Would 100% recommend and will be back again soon.
