I literally been here two days in a row so that says how delicious the food is. Sadly we'd been seated an hour and had only had our starters, quite a wait for drinks too and it really wasn't busy. Nonetheless the staff were still polite and friendly. The restaurant has beautiful interior designs. Love that this place is on my doorstep!

We recently had the pleasure of dining at The Dog and Duck in Clipstone, Nottinghamshire 23/07/2023, and I was absolutely blown away. We book a table for 9, for our daughter-in-laws birthday. The drinks were great, the food was incredible, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. The service at The Dog and Duck was top-notch. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. He was also attentive and friendly, and made sure that we had everything we needed, please see photos for what food was ordered. The atmosphere at The Dog and Duck is warm and inviting. The pub is decorated in a traditional style. Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Dog and Duck. The food was incredible, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

We visited on holiday and would 100% come back to the area to come back to this place. Would advise booking online first. Lovley setting and building and when we entered the staff was very friendly. Turned up early to have a few drinks first and was directed to a lovley seating area. Ordered drinks at the bar that were brought over to the table for you. Once our table was ready, we moved to the dining area, which was a very nice long room with a wood fire. We ordered starter and main with a couple extra, and it was all fresh, tasty and hot, and quality ingredients. The only negative was when we ordered a drink when we were choosing our food as it took a long time to come, believe it was due to another table ordering cocktails but there only ever seemed to be one person behind the bar but not a massive deal. 10/10 would recommend.

Just simply the the best food you will come across with something for everyone! Best to book as can be exceptionally popular in warmer months. Plenty of seating outside though.

We've been here before lockdown and it appears to have had a refresh since our last visit. Prior to this they would allow dogs into the dining area which was great as we have 2 of our own, now they don't. The food was of a good standard and the staff were really good. We didn't have cash with us and asked about adding a tip to the bill when paying by card. Unfortunately this isn't possible so our server only got what change we had on us.

We stopped here whilst out on a dog walk. ( Unfortunately dogs aren't allowed inside but it was warm enough to sit out ). We thought we'd have a little snack to share and ordered the beef nachos. Wow! The best nachos I've had, very well presented and such a huge portion, we struggled to finish them. Highly recommended. It's great to find a pub which isn't just serving basic burger / pie/ chips, and with a chef who cares about presentation too.

Really enjoyed my visit here. As an independent establishment it’s refreshing to have a menu of food that’s tempting unlike the chain pubs. Food was hot and well presented. Staff were friendly and chatty. Plenty of parking and lots of tables inside. If you’re cycling there’s the National Cycle Route 6 from Mansfield which is quite scenic.

Food was great. The staff were friendly and polite. However one of the waiting staff appear to have missed shower time and the noticeable pong that was coming from her being stood by the air con/heater was reminiscent of the fish markets at Whitby Bay.

Went with family to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary. Because we had young children present we booked for 5.00pm. Staff were attentive, friendly and very helpful. The meals were plentiful, delicious and hot. Generous helpings, even the childrens. I have given 4 star for service as desserts were not served at the same time and we had to ask. I don't know the total cost, but would definitely book again for a celebrity meal.
