Food & venue both excellent. We had the Filthy Swine. Absolutely gorgeous would highly recommend & will definitely be returning to try more of the menu. Hopefully be able to try a pudding if not too full 😜 We had such an amazing meal we took friends there this weekend - the food was still amazing & the staff & atmosphere was fab. We all enjoyed the food will definitely be returning soon. 💕

Yet another fantastic meal. NO it's mot cheap NO 2 for 1 deals ... BUT when you consistently deliver food of great quality, fantastic taste, well presented, served by courteous, happy (and I mean genuinely happy to work there) staff, there is no reason to lower your prices or your standards. One of the big secrets of this place is they have a Vegan or vegetarian menu, which you can ask for, complementing those vegetarian items already included on the main menu but giving you a much better choice than the usual mushroom stroganoff or pasta salad. A good wine list also. Lovely, thought out, well decorated with playful looking art on the wall (you really have to look carefully to see the jokes) creating a perfect atmosphere. If you have a well behaved dog there is even a seating area where the dog would be welcomed although they are limited so you need to book those. If there's any issues at all it would be the shape and layout of the car park but that is limited by its location on the corner of a busy countryside Junction. There were many many returning customers, ourselves included,

This was our first visit to The Devonshire. It was great. The staff were friendly and efficient and tended to our needs without being overbearing. The environment was upmarket yet comfortable and inviting. The food was amazing. Everything tasted so good. Portions were large but not over priced. I had a pie and it was packed with meat, not half empty like in some places. Definitely will be going back to try more of the menu.

Absolutely lovely food and service. Couldn't fault anything. The old school cornflake tart with pink custard is an absolute must for dessert!

We called in to book a large family gathering in November. After a bad experience at another resteraunt we decided to book the Devonshire on the strength of work colleagues recommending this venue. On arrival we made it clear we were sussing it out before booking to the lady who greeted us. We were so impressed with the welcome and efficiency of the staff organising the reservation. And we can not wait to dine here the food coming out of the kitchen looked superb.

Woaaah now, what a find! A beautiful pub and restaurant with beautiful surroundings. They had a separate vegan menu and everything sounded delicious. The server immediately told us what was missing on the menu (not much thankfully), and everyone that served us was extremely polite and attentive. We shared the mushrooms on sourdough for the starter which was plenty. We both had the vegan pie, potatoes, veg and gravy for the main; a huge serving! I feel like they could get away with serving less but I wasn't complaining, it was very nice. We then had the chocolate devil cake and chocolate orange tray bake slice to go and they were both delicious too. Add in two soft drinks and the bill was around £60, very good value for portion size and taste. We will be back very soon!

Love this place. The food is on another level and the atmosphere is refreshingly relaxing. Every meal is as good as the last. Always cooked to perfection without fail. The chef is clearly a master at the craft and cares about the quality of food produced. The food is far more than just 'pub food'. Its simply amazing for the price you pay. In addition, the staff are always friendly and attentive. I would eat here every day if I could. If you haven't visited already, you definitely should!

The food is great, we had the garlic bread with molten cheddar starter. The bread had a great crust yet the inside was light, and as for the cheese, just look at my reviews attached photo. For a main we had the lamb, the red wine and mint gravy was luscious. I had the the lamb done medium and it was cooked amazingly, juicy yet tender. The other Member of my party preferred their lamb well-done and they were just as satisfied as me with the lamb.

We was staying 20 minutes away and this place kept popping up on recommendation sites. Boy did it live up to the reviews! Amazing service and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was fantastic, honestly one of the best dinners we have enjoyed. Pricing was very good for the quality and portions you got. When we are up that way again we will 100% visit again! Must visit!

Great family Sunday lunch to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Food was first class and very helpful staff. Waiting time to be served was a little long but nothing of consequence. We will be back.

Lovely atmosphere good family lunch dining but I have food allergies - nothing was double checked even though we told the waitress. The menu was limiting because of this too which was a shame & not offered alternatives or advised .

Had a lovely date night evening with my partner. Accessible and lovely venue. Great service, very accommodating to my obscure intolerance and request for meal changes. Friendly atmosphere thst you can dine dressed up nice or casual. Would strongly advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment as the evening was very busy but not loud. Will certainly be visiting again, we loved it. Had a 3 corse meal, with coffee and 1 cocktail, £40-£45 each. Fantasies tasty food.
