Well worth a visit, my wife and myself popped in for a steak last night and it was spot on.

Lovely location and great view over the river. Fairly busy, but rang up on the day for a table for 5 at 7pm. service was quick even though fairly busy.
Nice atmosphere. The burger was pretty average, but the lasagna was very good and all reasonably priced.
Great service and fabfood! The chefs were great on bonfire night. We had burgers and they were so delicious. The lad on the tablet was kind and made us feel welcome.
We had my nans 90th birthday in the private room at the crown last Sunday and it was amazing! The staff were so friendly and helpful, everything went so smoothly and the room was warm and well presented. The food was yummy and exactly what we asked for. Highly recommended. Thank you :)

Food was delicious. Service was great.
Friendly staff, we sat outside and service was still fast, they even came out to check on us to make sure all was ok.
Outside seating area was clean and tidy.

Fantastic pub in a great location. They have recently worked on the outside area which has a beautiful view across the stour estuary. Especially nice when the sun is shining down.
Food is really tasty, and fairly priced. Typical pub food but done really well and updated regularly. The breakfasts and Sunday roasts are especially nice.
Inside is your typical village pub, and could do with a refresh. The layout makes the bar slightly awkward to get to sometimes, particularly when busy. But the staff are always friendly and do there best, even when overloaded
Lovely place. Had really nice meals, at good prices. The views were impressive where we sat outside. Did not book just whent in and asked if they had a table for two, lovely young lady could not have been nicer. Highly recommend. Scampi & chips were great. Wife had some sort of salad she realy enjoyed it. Really nice walk along the river.
Lovely outdoor seating area with a view, would make an ideal summer pub garden. Although I didn't eat, the food options and plates going past looked great. Would definitely recommend dropping in if you're in the area.
Absolutely incredibly perfect. We came across the crown after a very humid walk and where greated by a very warm and welcoming lady. We took ourselves out to the terrace which is layed out beautifully overlooking the river with such a peaceful and wonderful feel to it all. We ordered food which was in my eyes 5☆ and with clear plates it speaks volumes.. we could have happily sat and relaxed there all day. We will most definitely be returning for the fantastic food, great view and very friendly welcome.
I booked this as needed to be in the area, but wow is this a lovely place to stay!
You check-in at bar, which was a little disconcerting, however I couldn’t be more wrong; very friendly welcome; stylish, large, spotlessly clean and comfortable room; lovely bathroom, with possibly the strongest shower pressure I’ve ever seen!
Location is lovely, Manningtree high street is quite small, but some nice shops; real highlight is the incredible estuary! Which is also visible from bar terrace!
I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels, and whilst this one doesn’t have many other facilities (tho breakfast and dinner available), it’s one of the better ones. Well down Crown!!
Great experience! They were busy but nothing was too much trouble and service was very quick ! They were really dog friendly and the atmosphere/setting was lovely - a traditional old pub- we are staying in the area with our touring caravan but will definitely be back !
Just visited today for lunch. A great pub to dine at. Very friendly and efficient service as well as great food. Will definitely be back when the weather is nicer to have lunch outside which has bern extended and improved.
We ate their yesterday, I had pie, mash & veg and my other half had the salmon & new pots. The pie was really nice and homemade. The menu was good and there a good specials board. Very nice food. The staff were very very nice and attentative, will definately go again when back in that area.
STUNNING in a word, fantastic food super cold drink excellent service. You'd be mad not to go & experience the delights which I did & the views are to die for. ☆☆☆☆☆ 100% i will go again ( deserts will melt your heart )

Nice location with garden space overlooking the Stour estuary. Friendly and helpful staff who served up decent drinks. Didn't eat but food delivered to other guests looked really good.
Great pub and superb service, haven’t been here for awhile but they’ve done the outside area up with a fantastic decking to enjoy the views over the estuary, food was really good too and good value for money, very friendly service the only thing lacking was the sun 😩😁will definitely be back here for summer! 5 stars, highly recommended!
