Reviews Manningtree Station Buffet

What’s not to like here. There are few few station platform buffets left these days where you can also get a beer. The Manningtree offering has a good selection of beer and a couple of local ales on too (£4.50 for a pint of ale at time of writing). Butties were advertised at £4 including a hot drink which seemed great value, although I didn’t indulge. You can’t knock being able to finish a pint and step onto your train within seconds. The staff were friendly too and there are outside seats if it’s a nice day where you can watch the trains. Worth waiting until the next train just to stop by. Perfect to step onto the train when it arrives too!

This stop makes my day to London all the better. You're always greeted with a friendly smile, serving hot coffee and quite frankly the best bacon rolls ever. You'd be a fool not visit and take advantage of the coffee and roll deal. Also they serve alcoholic beverages too but at 08:00 in the morning that's a bit early for me but not for all so take a look.

I don't like meat and traditional dishes so only because 4 stars for food. No veggie alternatives. But I recommend. They even did a sandwiches platters for my son's birthday! :)

A good place for bacon sandwiches in the morning or a pint in the evening. I often call in when using the ferry to or from Holland, changing here between the main line trains to and from London and the local train to Harwich. Non-smokers may sometimes find they have to sit inside due to a lot of smokers in the outside seats.

After a horrendous journey getting to Manningtree, it was a welcome pit stop to kill time waiting for my next train. Had a lovely Toasted bacon & egg sandwich with a free cup of coffee. Great service and price.

Friendly and cheap with amazing bacon rolls (fresh, decent rolls with thick bacon). Filter coffee is fine but the stuff made using the espresso machine can be a bit hit and miss.

Cracking wee station buffet/bar. Good selection of food, soft and alcoholic drinks, quick friendly service, loads of seats inside and outside. On station platform, well worth a visit and big +, not chain run/owned, local owner so give them the business, well worth missing the direct Harwich connection for the next on!

This place is a pub on a railway station. Early it's a cafe doing bacon rolls and coffee/tea.. later it serves good beer after a long day at work

Really nice to see station cafe bars on the network. Have been.told they do a wicked bacon sarnie for the early risers. Will have to try, but for now atmosphere is definitely pleasant and very worth a visit.

A very handy and well serviced little cafe come bar. Always a warm welcome and a great deal for coffee and a breakfast roll. One of the reasons I chose Manningtree Station to commute from.
