The Red Lion has something for everyone. Darts. Cribb.pool teams. Bingo. Discos. Live bands. Sky and BT sports. A lovely lounge if you want somewhere a little private or quieter. 3 large tv screens. Juke box. Great drink deals and wonderful friendly helpful staff.

It's a great local with cheap drinks, brilliant publicans and good live bands. We should all support our local pubs or risk losing them.

We all meet here once a month for Coffe and Cake . . Everyone loves this and Kate provides sandwiches and coffee/tea with a pot provided to show your generosity. . With a very special cake baked by Jane Heath which is delicious. A very homely friendly Pub in Mangotsfield Village.

A bit of a mixed bag really but expected l suppose for a place that caters for the locals and regulars.l went to see BIGG BRI perform so l was not taking my usual Sherlock Holmes approach to carefully inspect all the details of the establishment.lts got character, that's for sure and contains many characters suitably 'tanked up' and enjoying themselves.l am glad the esteemed singer has a big voice as the crowd were trying to match him note for note.l wondered why other than the obligatory cigarette, many people chose to wander outside.l can't fault the pub for what it is,maybe not fully to my taste but well worth a visit, music night........take your earplugs or sit away from the entertainment.Give it a go,it may just be what your looking for.
