Cafe 1881 - Manchester - Photo album

Nice cappuccino. Nice and friendly staff. The music is nice. The cathedral view is nice. The high chair is not quite comfortable. *Credit card payment available*
I would heartily recommend this independent cafe next to the cathedral. We enjoyed toasted sandwiches with an Aperol spritz/Pimms opposite the cathedral entrance. Service was good in spite of being busy.
Beautiful looking cafe. Very good for a chill lunch or just having coffee with friends. Very well priced.
Good mocha, decent prices, perfect views. Ps. don’t let the tall model they have working behind the till convince you to sit in. You deserve the sun.
Very cosy little cafe just outside manchester cathedral, very relaxed atmosphere and a beautifully colourful builidng. The food was particularly delicious, ordered the chicken salad, and came in good time perfectly balanced with a delicious mango glaze. Will definitely be coming back
Beautiful cafe with a warm and friendly atmosphere, delicious coffee and a lovely range of baked treats. Their lunch menu was also fantastic. Would highly recommend.
Lovely little spot for a brew/breakfast or brunch. Super cute and excellent food and atmosphere
Good cappuccino, good outdoor seating, friendly staff, good vibes
I came here with my friend and was greeted by a amazing and friendly waitress named katie I believe. She went above and beyond to assure I have a good and safe visit as I am Coeliac and often struggle to find good places to eat - especially with gluten free bread!! Will be coming back again! Hopefu
Came here today with my friend to grab a quick bite and some coffee ! My friend is coeliac and can never find cafés with gluten free bread. Although we know most restaurants can’t guarantee the risk of cross contamination, Katie made a conscious effort to ensure my friends toast was gluten free and
Lovely place to visit for a coffee or indeed a cake and a sandwich.
The service and ambience of this restaurant is very good. The coffee is nice too. But unfortunately, I forgot my scarf there when I went there four days ago. And I found there was no contact number. It would be great if the owner could read this message. The scarf is important to me!🙏
Just ordered Coffee and was good! really liked the inside with all the plants and the windows facing the cathedral but at some point got too busy that was quite loud inside and couldn't concentrate, but apart from that is a very nice cafe and good service.
Our new Manchester trip haunt after the unfortunate closure of Java Bar in Victoria station. Staff were very polite, coffee was nice and the building is beautiful. Relaxing view of the church. Go here instead of Costa or Starbucks - much better.
One of my favourite indie coffee shops in Manchester. Always friendly service, great coffee and a good selection of cake, including three gluten free ones the last time I went! A quiet spot just around the corner from one of the busiest shopping areas in town, what's not to love!!
Friendly service. Good coffee. Nice spot
Great place for a short break when wandering around the area on a lazy day.
