Probably my favourite coffee shop in the city.
Located on Cross st, it’s a cute little shop with a laid back atmosphere. Very light and airy. Big windows and street seating for people watching.
Staff are super friendly and helpful. As always I wanted something not on the menu! Staff were extremely accommodating and delivered exactly what I asked for.
The food is fantastic. It’s reasonably priced and very tasty. I love their sausage patties which are packed with flavour. Portion sizes are generous. Recommend the “Sausage Buoy”
Coffee is great here, I’m not sure what beans they use but I’ve never had a bad coffee with them! Today I had an iced latte with hazelnut syrup.
My friend had a cappuccino and hers was lovely!
Absolutely brilliant service, drinks and ambience too. Matt the manager couldn't have been more accommodating, allowing us to bring a well behaved dog in with us.
Louis our server was so patient and polite, and our all round experience meant we came back for more than just a coffee the next day... A BSC Fry was absolutely delicious. Poached eggs to perfection and the biggest sausage I've ever seen!

I have been here multiple times, and all I can say about the place is that it is perfect for a breakfast or for a cup of coffee.
The staff are very friendly and helpful if you’re new to Manchester, the food is delicious and the service is quick. We have ordered the no carb breakfast, the fry, and the veggie fry, and they were perfect. They have good vegan and vegetarian options.
Definitely recommended for everyone!
Got beans on toast and a cold brew. Banging combo — really chill nice staff. Shop was clean music not too loud. Price is up there but for fresh made food and all day brekfast , worth it.
I visited Manchester for a week and went to Bold Street every single day. It was the only place in town I was able to find with a good cold brew. The staff were incredibly friendly and remembered my group every time. The food was delicious and the seating/environment was delightful. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a nice cup.
Nice seating area. Coffee isn’t too bad. Banana bread was either made very early in the morning or the night before because it was clearly not fresh. Staff is nice. One of the better cafes in Manchester but can be improved.
Came for my friend's birthday and the staff were fantastic! Made so much effort and looker after us, we were even given a free brownie! Love this place for coffee and breakfast anyway. Would recommend to anyone

The staff member recommended a vanilla matcha latte with coconut milk which was great.
The vibes of the place were chill so ended up staying for a batch brew coffee. This batch brew coffee. So good. Tasted amazing.
Super yummy very fluffy vegan pancakes! Slightly disappointed my (tasty) oat iced chai was served in a takeaway cup along with our glasses of water despite sitting in. All so tasty though!
Called in today for some brekkie and a cuppa as I am visiting Manchester from Halifax for a training course.
The staff are really friendly, the cafe is clean and has a lovely chilled atmosphere.

Walked by and got a coffee here — it was my first visit. Loved it so much that I had to write this review about it. Best oat flat white I’ve had in the whole year!
Fantastic food, coffee and people. It's a really nice open plan cafe with different places to sit. The food and coffee are excellent and the staff helpful and chatty.

I had to switch to decaf about a year ago, and pretty much everywhere it tastes like ashes 😂 EXCEPT for here. Bought myself a bag of it to take with me, it's genuinely the best I've ever had.
On top of that, I've been served by probably every member of staff at least once in the last year, and every single one of them has been nothing but lovely. Really chill environment, excellent and quick service, the food is great, cannot fault anything about BSC. Hands down my favourite spot in the city. Thank you all!!
Really good coffee, but with measures on the smaller side. I felt the latte was more flat white than tall latte. But a pleasant little eatery with friendly welcoming staff. I had the Vegan Buoy option for brunch. Which was based on a potato hash brown, scrambled tofu, an aubergine burger patty, topped with vegan cheese and a sweet onion ‘jam’ relish. Served on a brioche bun, tasty but a little soggy. I do think the bun could of done with toasting, it was just a little wet overall. Only other very minor gripe was that I felt the chairs really quite uncomfortable!
