Came here before a concer at the arena. The restaurant is very pretty. The menu is pretty good as well for an Italian, but there wasn't very clear vegetarian and vegan options in my opinion. I ordered the pesto pasta and the waiter was helpful with making sure it was mild because I don't do well with spicy food. The garlic bread was tasty and my friends enjoyed the pizza. I was disappointed that my pesto pasta had blobs of cream cheese of some sort on there as it wasn't stated on my menu from what I understood, and I hate cheese so that was annoying, but it didn't ruin the meal. The service however was weak. Our starter arrived before our drinks did which wasn't good and the staff also kept going to wrong tables when delivering drinks which was pretty embarrassing to watch. We had to waive at the waitress to tell her that is our order. We also ordered some more tap water when the food arrived and the waiter came back and said they had no more bottles so they couldn't give us any, when we then saw 3 more tables get bottles of water. I had a flare up of cystitis so I really needed some liquid and it really was a joke how long it took for us to get some tap water. We ended up telling another waiter we'd been waiting around 15 minutes for some water. I would say to go but definitely be aware that the service of the place isn't great
Stopped off for a coffee. The restaurant was not open yet. However we greeting the Manager who welcomed us in. He especially said we could have a coffee. We asked him about the restaurant and food and had a very friendly conversation about the Italian food they served. We had the lovely coffee outside. Next time I am in Manchester we will be eating here. A very pleasant experience
really good quality food, only reason i’m not giving them 5 stars is the cheese board was limited - really nice blue cheese but i felt the block of parmesan could have been replaced with a better cheese to pair with the bread. will be back though. service was average, drinks came just after the food and i had to ask for the ‘optional’ tip to be taken of the bill
Booked a table for two as we received 50% off mains offer.
We ordered Arancini, Lobster Linguine, Veal Milanese and Truffle Cheesy Fries. Food came swiftly. We enjoyed the starter, the pasta and the side but weren't that keen on the veal main dish that was quite dry.
Otherwise, the Arancini and the Lobster Linguine are highly recommended!

Beautiful place and lovely food. Service was exceptional by Alex I think his name was. Everyone was super friendly and would definately go again next time
Dined in at the latter end of wet Sunday evening so it was quieter than I imagine it would normally be. It was nicely lit and there were plenty of tables suitable for dining solo which I was doing. I chose the spaghetti carbonara and was pleased that I did. I think I've only made it/ordered it with pancetta previously however this was made with pork cheek guanciale. It was so tasty and it literary melted in your mouth. It ranked up there with one of the best carbonara's I've had. The front of house were friendly and helpful and i would happily visit again whenever I'm back home in Manchester
Called in on chance, Resturant was fully booked so we eat in the bar. Service was great we had three courses with wine and cocktails.
The whole night was perfect,loved the atmosphere of the place.
I usually eat in Riva blu, and I highly recommend it, nice food, nice place, nice staff! One of my favourites Italian in Manchester
I recently dined at Riva Blu Italian Restaurant in Manchester and was blown away by the amazing food and service. The panna cotta and affogato for dessert were both incredibly delicious, and the calzone and smoked cheese garlic bread were standout dishes. The king prawn pasta was also a standout, as it was different from what I've had at other competitive restaurants. The ambience and lighting at Riva Blu were top-notch, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. But what really impressed me was the service - the staff were knowledgeable and helpful, especially in recommending different wines as I am not a wine person. Overall, I highly recommend Riva Blu Italian Restaurant for anyone looking for great food and excellent service in Manchester.
Food is lovely but just a little pricey for what it is, your paying for a name at the end of the day. Service is pretty good and staff are all lovely. Would particularly recommend the courgette fries and Postcard from Portuchino cocktail. Overall, a nice chain restaurant in the heart of Manchester, perfect alongside a spot of shopping or people watching if sat outside
The staffs, complimentary and general ambiance is welcoming. Had my mums 60th, with my two nephews (there is a high chair in place for toddlers and accompanying with kids menus). Generally satisfactory for me. Thank you Babu for the great service. Well done guys for a good service. Really enjoyed every bit of the service.

Stumbled upon this restaurant when visiting Manchester with my partner, and the overall experience is worth the time for a review. Staff were excellent and polite, food was top-notch and the ambience made us feel warmly welcomed. Peppe took care of our needs to the best of his abilities, and kept us informed about the best areas of holiday of Italy 🇮🇹

Very quick to get our table, service excellent food very good like the courgettes very crispy. Used the Club app and they took £10 off the bill. Nice relaxed atmosphere total bill for 2 £100. Mains and dessert with a side and a nice bottle of wine and two glasses of dessert wine.
To Giuseppe, you have done an excellent job of managing a fantastic eating environment for all. Your staff are especially attentive and very friendly. Big thanks to David and Alex for making our experience an enjoyable one. We will definitely be back.
Wow, the customer service I got from here was exceptional! We came here when only outdoor dining was allowed and found that the staff were very hospitable and ensured that we were comfortable always! Even when it started raining like mad they provided blankets because I was freezing cold. The food was also very good, and the creme brûlée was to die for! The best dessert!
Fantastic food! Lovely welcoming staff! The chocolate fondant was a m a z i n g 🔥!!
