Great pub with decent outdoor seating for a sunny day. A good selection of beers, wines and spirits and there’s usually offers on cocktails too
Breaking off from working outside in the heat, 2 of us had the same meal.
We had chicken in barbecue sauce with a cheese topping. Garden peas and proper chips. The food is always good here and the staff are always friendly and give great service. There is plenty of seating inside and outside too and
Went for lunch recently with the Mrs. Food was great. Nice a simple but done well. Staff were really friendly and helpful and food was out in a nice time. Couldn't fault it good, honest, reasonably priced pub food served with a smile for a decent price. What more could you want.
After travelling from Southport at 430 arriving at 6 didn't expect to be told food is only served after 630 and later find they took my order at 7. Butter chicken was fine but my son didn't like the lasagne. Said it was gooey on top. Should have asked for it be cooked for longer.

Only popped in for a drink with mates. Massive pub, but sat outside. The barmaid Emuly was friendly and helpful. Pub has a fascinating history, displayed on green board outside. Good selection of St. Lees beers.
Always like a pint of JW Lees Smooth but sadly not available. However there was still a good choice of craft summer ales at decent prices. Customer Service very friendly overall.
Went today for a funeral. Buffet was very good, excellent selection of hot and cold food. Tea and coffee available. Fine selection of beers, wines and spirits.
Been going here ever since I met my a girl in 1995 who become my wife, changed so many times but still an amazing place to be and enjoy the beautiful food with amazing atmosphere
First time here, the food was absolutely lovely. The staff were super attentive and friendly! We will definitely be back.
I really like this pub...I had the large fish and chips .the fish was huge and it came with home made tartare sauce .They did offer a choice of a smaller portion which maybe I should have had .Service was second to none and the waitress was very attentive and friendly.Definately recommend this est

The customer service by all staff members has been amazing, they are extremely friendly and we’re brilliant with my son.

A traditional roast type pub. Food good, beer choice ok , service good.
