Blown away by the excellent Scandinavian inspired food and coffee. I had the French Toast and it was arguably the best French Toast I’ve ever had. The staff were very warm and attentive throughout and the cafe is beautifully organised - a great place to read or relax with coffee. Couldn’t recommend enough!

What a fabulous place for breakfast. I first went by myself and had the peanut butter on bagel which was out of this world. I then went back with my husband and I had the porridge which was just beyond anything I’ve ever eaten. Then my husband had the sausage and bacon sandwich which I had a cheeky taste of. They source locally which you can tell in the quality. The food is a clear 10/10 the atmosphere is relaxed and warm and then the staff are so lovely it’s just tops the whole thing off. A must try for sure.

Great space to work remotely or meet friends for lunch. The food is delish and the offering is varied. I’ve had the granola and vegan leek pie before and they were 👌🏻

Absolutely LOVED the experience. The food, the sourdough, and the coffee were excellent. The egg Benedict was exceptional. They offer vegan options, and the menu was inclusive. The service was so nice, and I would highly recommend it.

Lovely breakfast in one of the most beautiful parts of the city - if you like red brick architecture, look no further.

Coconut cardamom croissant - One of the best croissants I’ve ever had. I feel bad for giving 4 stars however over cooked poached eggs and toast that was basically Bread are two things I just can’t forgive unfortunately . (Asked for it to be toasted more and it just came back the same). Good quality drinks (juices/teas/coffees). Good and friendly service. Generally high food quality. Dog friendly. Stools perhaps not that comfortable for some so FYI if you need a chair with a back! Will return for that exceptional croissant!

Trove is Manchester’s treasure of baked items and coffee. The sourdough bread is exceptional. Today we visited the Norther quarter coffee shop. We tried the Kim cheese grilled sandwich accompanied by Chef Holly’s new hot sauce concoction. Rhubarb, ginger, beetroot, black pepper was the best sauce I have ever had. You have to come in and try these folks, it’s on another level. Guy huge thanks for the suggestion, we would never have tried this without his suggestion. So if you want great food, coffee and exceptional service, don’t think twice… head to Trove in the Northern Quartet!! Massive thanks to Guy and the super talented Holly!

The cakes are brilliant, they are very rich. The coffee is really good too. Didn’t have anything savoury but saw the table across and looks good too.

Came for a late lunch with a friend on Good Friday. It wasn't too busy so we managed to get a table outside, it was sunny and warm but unfortunately due to the tall buildings around Trove all outside seating was in the shade so it got quite chilly. We weren't served for quite a while, only until we went inside to get menus did they start coming out to take our orders and check on us, otherwise staff were very friendly and even brought water out for my friend's dog. Ordered the sausage butty which was delicious, the sourdough bread and homemade ketchup was amazing. Coffee was lovely too and before we left I bought myself a croissant loaf which was great. Would come again but probably sit inside next time.

Maisy, the manager at Trove Ancoats, is a caffeine-fuelled wizard behind both the expresso machine and till. She knows your order before you do and has a killer sense of humour, making every visit a caffeinated comedy show. She's like the coffee fairy godmother we never knew we needed!

Amazing 🤩 I've been wanting to check out this little bakery for a while and I'm so glad I finally did! It's such a lovely place tucked away and not too busy but still quite popular. It's very charming and there's some nice variations and options. I came for the pastries and was not disappointed! As a Frenchman these qualify as real french pastries and the bread is so nice! I am rating this 4.5 stars because the service was wonderful the staff are cheery helpful and kind and the food is delicious. The only points are for the bathroom while there is one for such a small place it does need a bit of tlc ATM just small things like getting rid of spiders and repainting. Thank you for an unforgettable experience will be coming back regularly! Heard about trove through their partnership with village greens in Prestwich

Taste: 💖💖💖💖💖 For a simple bacon butty this is 5/5. The bread is made in-house at Trove’s bakery. It’s soft, fluffy and toasted on one side. You can immediately tell this bread is super fresh. We ALWAYS order this with brown sauce. Their brown sauce is also made in-house and the combination of spices perfectly compliments the bacon. We even buy this sauce by the jar to use at home. Presentation: 💖💖💖🤍🤍 The plates are nice but there’s nothing really exciting to the dish. It’s a simply bacon butty, what more can we say. Delicious but not overly attractive. Vibe: 💖💖💖💖🤍 Trove gives off local neighbourhood coffee vibes. Inside there’s a small area for tables nicely decorated with some greenery, large windows and a view into the kitchen. They also have an area where they sell wines, bread and other Trove specialty condiments. We’re not really keen on the wire racks, it really takes away from the cosy feel of the space. Service: 💖💖💖🤍🤍 The service was good and there’s nothing to complain about but we didn’t experience anything fantastic either. Cost: £6.50 Coffee & Bacon Butty Deal GF Options: Unsure Vegan Options: Yes

Really cool spot. The staff seem to be really into their jobs. Baristas were lovingly pouring coffee drinks, and wait staff were talking excitedly about their favorite menu options and combinations. My wife and I had French Toast and Eggs Florentine with a side of bacon. Perfect savory and sweet combination! The wait want too long either. Can't wait to visit next time I'm in town!
